Hi All,

First post and would like to thank this very informative forum, helped me a lot in last few days.

I'm looking to import a V36 3.7L Coupe (most likely auto/2008-9). It is going to be purchased in Japan by existing contact and then will be arranged to delivered to sydney. All Japan part of work will be problem of my contact (relative who works in auto import/export industry there). What I need is a broker in Sydney who would arrange complience, customs and what ever else that takes to get car registered once it is landed here in NSW. If any broker reads this, quote would be great as well.

If you can just drop a link to proven broker / contact details would be very appreciated!

Thanks and happy importing!

Had another look around, will try on Iron Chef first.

:P Got a 2008 V36 Auto with grade 5, 16K on the clock :P

Hopefully will be joining club of happy skyline owners soon.

Back to original question about broker, Iron Chef did not respond to mail email enquiry yet :(

Anyone can recommend another broker? Car will be ready for shipment next week.

Hi Evgeny, sorry I'm still here! I've been flat out planning for All Japan Day in Adelaide tomorrow, so I've been getting behind with my emails :P I'll reply now, give me a call if you prefer - 0402 904 069.

well here's my contribution to help get you over that limit of 10 posts (just reply here...)

my question - how did you purchase a car WITHOUT a broker? any why would you want a broker now that the most challenging part is done for you (presumably you have already paid for the car?)

Mind my asking what you paid, specs etc (no obligation on you to divulge this, you may not wish to)

hope it all turns out well

I can answer that part - he had connections in Japan for purchasing the car he was after, and he was happy to negotiate with them directly. Because he'd done that side of things himself, I reduced my fee accordingly.

Don't have time to go through all the docs at the moment, although I did a bit of research. And yes, I have a relative in Japan who helped out with car

P.S. Yay, 13 posts.
