Desciption

--------------------

Hi guys, the time has finally came to sell my baby. As much as I would like to keep her and build it up, I just can't afford to at this time since I'll be getting married by the end of the year, and I need the money for that. I'm the car's 1st owner in Australia and the it has been well looked after. Serviced every 5000k with Motul v300, so there is absolutely no issue with the engine. I had a compression test done about 6 month ago at Bell Garage and it came back 160 across all cylinders (have receipt and print out). It has been really reliable over the past 2 years and the only thing I had to fix was the brake slave cylinder and replaced throttle body gasket to metal ones, due to small air leak. Car starts 1st time every time and idles smooth at around 1000rpm. The turbos are still stock as far as I know (no issues with them so far), but I do have a pair of used (in excellent condition) Nismo RS580 turbo included in the price. They perform similar to the 2530's.

I have cleaned up the interior, installed new plush carpet, deaden the doors and floor....etc so it is extremely clean. I also installed a nice sound system and did some minor mods to the car in general. I have receipt for most of the work done on the car.

For those who have asked about the car, here are some clarifications:

- Car is straight with no major accident history. There was a small cosmetic repair on the right hand side just next to door. (I accidently scraped the side on a fence coming into a tight driveway). Other than that, there was no damage to the chassis or anything like that. But you are more than welcome to come and check it out yourself.

- The extra pair of nismo turbos included with the sale are in excellent condition. 1 has no shaft play at all, the other has very small amount of shaft play.

- Rego is until Oct this year.

- Carpet was replaced when I installed the sound system. It is black super plush 2 piece carpet from knox carpet. Underfelt was also replaced with sound deadening underfelt. Fit is great, looks way better than the grey factory loop pile, although the fit as not quite as snug.

Very tidy and nicely done car.

Highly interested, alas, need to sell my car first. Will be in touch when my car sells, assuming this hasn't by then (but I don't think it should be on the market long at all).

Very Nice looking car. Love the wheels! Are you the first Aussie owner?

...

Thanks guys, I have 2 buyers lined up for this. :D Maybe I listed it too cheap.... hahaha

How goods the smoke look with them rear tyres?

lol, I didn't even know they were color smoke tires. Got them home and thinking.. how come the edge are red??

LOVE the headlights. How did you get them done? Willing to sell them? (Can supply stock projectors)

Planning to sell the car as is. so if you want those lights, check with the buyer and they maybe willing to swap.

Yea, 1st owner. So its it does really have sentimental value 2 me. Its like your 1st child.. .. well maybe not to that extent, but I'll definitely miss it.

SOLD!!

Congratulations Luke. Take good care of her and keep in touch..

*sob sob*. I can't believe she's gone. Although I'm happy she went to a fellow forum member. ....

I'm totally and completely in love - I've wanted one since I was 6 years old, and finally the dream is realised

Got pulled over by a highway patrol just after I left Brads.. 68 in a 60 zone (accidental, two turbos are faster than one). Popped the bonnet to find a stock airbox, and he let me go with a handshake and a congratulations for getting the new car!

I'm also not sleeping tonight. This car WILL eat my savings in fuel by the end of the weekend!

Many thanks Rob, I'll try to save up some cash and visit you for some parts.

    • careful when running the car after a boil over. Ive heard you can lose enough coolant that it won't show the right temps because of too much air in the system (or something like that). Make sure the levels are good before trying again.  Maybe a mobile mechanic can come have a look with their scan tool ?
    • OK, just for some extra clarity - there is more than one option at Frenchy's. 1. You can buy the whole kit - with or without the actual compressor. The whole kit includes mounts, hoses, condensor, etc. That's either ~$2200 or ~$2800. No surgery required with this option. 2. You can buy just the bracket (~$600), or the bracket with the compressor (~$1200). Either of this or the above option "without the compressor" is if you already have an Echo comp or you are able to source one locally. Whatever the case, in this option, you will need surgery done on your hoses to adapt to the new compressor. When I said "the Frenchy's kit", I meant the whole kit in option 1. It is obviously somewhat more $$ than a $1500 OEM compressor. But if I had to spend $1500 on an OEM compressor, I would certainly consider spending double that to renew and significantly update everything forward of the firewall. Another option is to rebuild your original compressor. My R34 comp is currently dead and I will be most likely doing that to it if the spare one in the shed is also leaky.
    • I’m thinking that’s the route I’ll  go, thanks for the input!
    • Hey all, my 2004 Nissan Skyline 350GT overheated the other day with coolant boiling and leaking out of the coolant reservoir when I was parking. So today, I started it up again just to see if it was a thermostat/head gasket issue. After about 20 mins of running, temps were normal again, no coolant was leaking out and the upper reservoir hose was warm but my engine suddenly cut off. I checked the oil dipstick and cap when it was running and there was no white foamy residue and the exhaust did not have white smoke. I tried starting up the car again but it would only crank, similar to when I had a camshaft sensor issue just that now there’s no check engine light on the dash. Any ideas? Unfortunately I don’t have an OBD2 that can read the Nissan's programme.
    • Bump on this to not make another post, had a ‘head drain’ leak on me and have the engine out as we speak. Planning on just putting a new freeze plug back in , plug the tapped holes and just be done with that headache.    Now I still want to relieve pressure to allow oil to pass down the blocks returns easier. I’ve seen catch cans with multiple vents help folks with this issue on this forum.  I’m wanting to make my own. I have some pictures here of my setup if anyone can help how I should plumb and design the catch can I would deeply appreciate it !   rb25 Oil upgrades: 1.0mm restrictor n1 pump/billet gears extended crank collar  extended sump with trap doors/w welded fitting
