have you got a consult cable? or a multimeter?

it has to be set at .45v - .5v

other than that its pretty easy

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I've got the NISSAN Datascan program on PC so I should be able to sort it out but what do you mean "set at .45v - .5v" ? Is that the voltage at idle ? and if so, what should the voltage be at full throttle ? or doesn't that matter ?

Cheers, Scott.

the actual sensor rotates a few degrees on the TB.

the mounting points have a screw each, so finger tighten them and line up the the sensor, while the throttle plate is at idle position untill you see .45 -.5 volts.

youll prob need the ignition on but not the engine running...

this should help:

oh and make sure the tab for the sensor is in front of the level on the back of the throttle, like this:

WELL...... Replaced the TPS and put the new one in at around the same position. Set it to 0.48V at closed position and at operating temp the car wouldn't idle below 1,350RPM.

Before removing the old one I checked what it was reading and it was 0.18V Closed & 4V Full open. So, I set the new one to 0.18V closed and hey presto, it idles at 650RPM. Take it for a drive and it's all :)

Go figure ! :D
