Basicly told me that I should get all mods engineered.

what does this mean? and how do you do it?

RTA approved engeineers, its on the RTA site give them a call and see what you have to do, i have been defected 3 times with my certificate, and my mate just got done with a stock exhaust for (to loud) cops in the newcastle area are pretty bad atm

I thought you couldn't get defected if you had an engineers cert ? If you can doesn't that make them utterly useless?

Well they can't but they will start to knit pick until they find something thats not right. Eventually though yeah they will run out of things to defect you with.

I've never been pulled over "for driving a skyline" and I've owned skylines for 5 years.

I used to winge about getting followed home by the police from Chatswood back in the day, or getting pulled over and RBT'd all the time. It's a fact of owning a performance car. Our cars are more likely to be stolen, crashed or driven outside the law. Now that they have the automagical license plate reading system you will find if you have been naughty in the past you will probably get pulled over more too.

When I used to boot around in my Nissan Patrol I never got harassed by the police, but I wasnt out cruzing at 1am on a weekend in it either and the mods where legal. (Plus it takes a while for the Patrol to get up to speed, and they cant really see you behind the smoke screen).

just 2cents. Most the cops are pritty cool and just want us all to behave. Just remember the attitudes and behaviour they have to deal with next time you wonder why they put on the tough guy act when walking to your car.

Funny you say that.. My Neighbour had the council come out to tell him to pull down a cubby house he put in the front of his lawn. In the end he got approval for it.

yeh ive seen these defect stations around in teh past two weeks. All highway patrol cars. One on parramatta rd at parra and one on the hume hwy chullora. How much does it cost to get your car engineered?

Open more tracks for all of us that will sort everything out

they should open the old catalina track or fix it atleast. its closer than waky and cheaper than eatern creek. lol well atm its free but we are not aloud to drive on it just walk
