Honestly i would recommend it to everyone. The feeling is undescribable and the memory will last a life time. Definetely would like to do it again some day, might even do the solo if i have the balls.

Scuba diving at the reef is the next thing to mark off my list.

oh hell no - i hated standign on top of the eureka towers - def aint going to jump off some plane with a dude strapped to my back....

Scary AND gay! Imagine if you got the instructor whose wife left him that morning and he no longer had a will to live

Hahaha I'm scared of heights too (even high balconies / shopping centres) but strangely I don't mind flying or looking out aeroplane windows.

Scuba is a piece of piss. There is no worry there.

Tis very relaxing... i've acually been slack (due to no car) to finish off my divers qual's and then go for more advanced stuff with mix etc etc.

Being my best mate is in the Navy, and a diver, i could go and get on some great dives with them all around Aus if i get off my ass as he is almost qualified dive master

my mates all chipped in to send me skydiving for my 21st birthday, the thing is i didnt even know about it...even on the day. pricks burst into my room at 6.30am n dragged me outta bed n blindfolded me. when the blindfold came off there i was standing in front of the coldstream skydiving sign. the dude there said he's never seen a freak out as good as mine lol but in the end was awesome and i would definatly do it again

I had a ball when I did a tandem jump out of Nagambie bout this time last year. The Mrs gave it to me as a birthday present. Also kind of a celebration of winning my first big poker tournament.

First few secs were some of the greatest time of my life! Would love to do it again sometime.

SCUBA is awesome too. 250+ dives under the belt but haven't headed out for bout 18 months. Hope to do some in Thailand in May.

/interested

Ive been meaning to do it forever. Some friendly motivation will help a bunch.

I've always wanted to go solo first up, but I reckon if SAU sky dive was set up I'd probably do w/e everyone else is doing.

new SAU logo coming. 20 sau mmebers jumping outta plane holding a massive sau banner?

Hahah even better 100 SAU members wearing Red and White spelling out SAU, although both are not plausible cause I'm sure you'd be pretty hard pressed to find 20 members who all have their license

jump off some plane with a dude strapped to my back....
an awesome sensation even though it really hurts your cheeks

:D

Certainly not an experience I am interested in.... not that there's anything wrong with that! :)

    • Hey all, not sure how active SAU is anymore but will ask away anyways. Just wanted to get some experience on the 2008 model GTR CBA model.  I've hit that age in my life (43) where I'm like fk it time to get my dream (midlife crisis) car. Looking at importing one in and seeing if these can be reliable if the main flaws are fixed up. Plan is to keep money aside to do the following straight off the bat to future proof it: * install a stage 1 rebuilt trans with all new bits and pieces.  * install a new Bellhousing from the later model GTRs. Or potentially an upgraded stronger version like MAD or ATR. Besides the above two things and typical maintenance items anything else you'd recommend doing.   Been speaking to a few people and the engine on these are very reliable apparently. But keen on the view of the community here. Hoping to find a nice grade 4.5 with low mileage in Grey. I'd go black but swirls too easy. Look forward to your responses and feedback. Cheers
    • Do Alan and Keith work on Skylines now? I remember buying stuff from them when I owned my Ralliart Lancer a few moons ago. Definitely genuine guys and be excellent if they dealt with the skyline platform as well.
    • Hey all, I'm Gaston from Sydney's West.  I was a member on here when I was a younger lad and owned a mint R33 GTS-T. Ended up selling it and getting married having kids (yadda yadda) we all know how the story goes. Now I'm back with the intention to get my midlife crisis (dream) car ... a R35 GTR.  You'll see me about asking questions and searching the forums. Good to be back and can't wait to get back an Import again.
