while half my engine is apart i thought id do my rocker covers, quick question.

how would it turn out if i used an engine enamel primer and paint then a clear coat (maybe) from spray cans ? or shud i stick with say an engine enamel 2pac from a spray gun ?

would the paint from a spray can bubble or peel off?

Jimmy , Imo as long as you prepare the surface to be painted correctly, you can get good results from spray cans.not sure if it would peel, but i doubt it.Spray cans tend to spit little blobs of paint on whatever your painting,so u need to remember that when using them,.

I did mine with a heatproof engine enamal silver as a base coat. Then did the colour of my choice and then covered it with a heatproof clear. No dramas what so ever. Did my old RB25 covers like this and my RB26 covers.

Here's mine, just done with brake caliper paint pressure-packs... still gotta do the clear coat (again, caliper paint), and then wait for the warranty on my engine to run out (another few months, don't wanna void it by taking off the rocker covers to put my painted ones on!) so that I can put them on...
