Looks like that handy place some of us were using out in Parra, AoN, no longer do cheap green slips. Just got my renewal in the mail and they seem to be called CiC now and its $670! Double the price.

Online check on maa website best got was $570 from NRMA. R33 is becoming a damn expensive car to have for what it is.

Does anyone know of anywhere that can do green slips for better than above?

Yeah the cheapest I found was NRMA....Absolute joke what we are paying for greenslips these days. They can charge whatever they want and nobody says boo to them.Yet I dont know of a single person who has ever made a greenslip claim...I am sure these companies are making a very handsome profit

Hey guys lets all commit insurance fraud, the consequences are only a slap on the wrist!

edit: Haha, it wasn't a false statement. It's actually true, it's cheaper if you do that. But come on dude, saving $200 is not worth it.

Greenslips from everywhere this year seem to have increased in price around $350.

It's not just Skylines, it's ALL CARS.

I believe you're right due to an increase on 1/1/10.

I got mine thru Shannons on 28/10/09 for $312.79.

Dude, you'd be surprised - I used to work for a government agency dealing with compensation claims, and there are a LOT of claims going through.

CTP/green slips are what pay for your injuries (and injuries to other people) when you're hurt in a car accident. Think of it this way: if you were ever unlucky enough to be in an accident and hurt someone, would you rather be paying for their medical bills out of your own pocket? Even just an ambulance trip to the hospital (no matter how close) was over $400, last I heard!!!

As for the main topic, best way to find the cheapest green slip is to use the Green Slip Calculator.

mine is still the same price as last years, $517 through CIC

EDIT: if your an apprentice like i am you can get a $100 rebate from the RTA i think. just have to fill out a form when you pay rego

It hasn't beeen taken over by CIC, AON was always underwritten by CIC.

AON was still cheaper for me by $5 or so, but they don't accept paypal, credit card ect.... so i went with gio @ $668 because they accepted credit cards online... Still last years AON price was nearly exactly half of this years price, it was $336 last year
