I'm proud to announce that I am finally going to buy a skyline! thank god! I'm just pondering on some stuff i should look out for when going for one. I'm going for a 33 GTS-T, im able to spend up to $20k. So far i have decided that i'd like to pick one up that is stock to the bone, anyway what things should i be aware of, check, do, don't do when I do inspect one out? thanx heaps fellas

you can find lots of info if you search these forums but generally look for oil leaks, coolant colour, engine noise, interior condition such as seat and carpet wear, take it for drive and check wheel alignment, driving noises etc.

check to see if any panel work has been done by comparing the panel paint texture and variations in shine and colour, see if the doors shut and open nicely, check for even gaps between panels and so on.....check the under car for rust and grease and evidence of repairs...

but most importantly have it checked by a professional....and good luck!! :(

if you're looking for a ncie stock R33 S2 model (so you don't become one of the million S1 drivers) then I'd suggest you import one from japan, coz of the new laws you can only bring in factory spec models (no modifications mechanically, bodykits are OK) wich would work great and cheaper in your favour.

i dunno about importing...but i'd love a S2, but im afraid i can't afford it here. akeenan i'll priv msg ya.

i was looking for a good year and a half to buy my line, i finally bought one last month for an awesome deal, i was extrememly lucky but patient

Check the body for any paint mismatches obvously especially around the engine bay, to identify accidents, thats the main thing, obvously mechanical check to check engine compression etc
