Oil Temp Gauge Need Help With Wiring

its an autogauge smoked face im not sure what the "+" and the "S" are any ideas? i know one goes to the sensor but which one? and whats the other one?

heres a hint . your battery has a symbol next to each terminal go look at them .....

heres another hint what letter does the word Sensor start with ??

Are you suggesting to hook it up direct to the battery?

yeah and only use red wire or the torque of the electrons will get confuzzled and start leaking
