R32 Intercooler Installed

Hey guys. I've been surfing around this site until my R32 arrived from Japan. Finally got it. Its my second R32 to be exact. 33's are just to bulky to me. Anyway, I just installed my FMIC. Its an ebay brand Bolted up pretty easy. Took me about 2.5 - 3 hours to install along with some beer. Did a few test runs and one the first two runs, one of the couplings kept falling off due to boost. Tightened the bugger down a lil tighter i used 'Joy' to slide that pipe in think that played a part in it. Quick question. Any of you guys know what the thing is in the last picture? I have no idea what it does. It's made by Apexi. Pulls in and out. When its pushed in it says open and pulled out it says closed.

You're right. It connects to the test pipe.
