I take it you know which shop I'm speaking of haha...well I took it there once on a Saturday as advised by a mate at work, and a girl at work. They're both good friends with the guy who more or less runs it on Saturdays (as they're not open for general business, more just cash as a second job that they enjoy), and it's the chicks ex as well. It appeared as though there was about 5 guys working there on the day, all relatively young, and by appearance you wouldn't trust them with your hair let alone your car...particularly the fella it was organised through (looked like he just got out of LA county jail or something lol)...regardless, the guy himself was VERY polite and easy going, and they did an absolutely wonderful job. Naturally I also noted the trip meter before I left the car with them, and it only went up 100m-ish...which is roughly the disatance they drove the cars from where I dropped it off, into the garage, and to where I picked it up.

This is only really my personal experience with these guys, but since they're running it in their own time on a Saturday for some extra cash, it seems a little more honest, and that they're not there to joy ride etc

I can never be bothered to do all the cleaning stuff on my own. Someone want to meet up the day before and double team our cars? I used to detail cars so I'm pretty handy with it. Don't care if it's just a wash, vacuum and polish or a full rejuv of plastics, shampooing of carpets and detailing of engine bay. Any takers?

I'd be keen! It'd be really good to have someone show me how to do it properly

Do you have somewhere to do it though (your house?) cos I live in a complex and there's not really any room...

Shell I live in a complex too =(. We can just go to a car wash. Main things we need:

Pressure hose

Vacuum that can such water

and if we are cleaning up the plastics in our car to make them look new again - A compressor.

I can probably sort out a compressor and we can do the plastics at my place then go to a car wash for shampooing of carpets and cleaning of exterior. I think we should probably cap it at 3 people though, cause it will be a bit of a rush to get all 3 done, let alone more.

I'll go price all the things we'll need to clean each car in a day or two.

Cool, sounds good Dave :P What side of town are you on? Sorry if you told me when I met you, I cant remember :P If you're on the northside I can probably organise a large driveway/garage area for a couple of cars... but if you're on the southside (like me) we can just do what you said.

Some places are better than others, but if you really want to tell, keep an eye on inside the garage, driveway and the road jsut leaving the garage for tyre marks =). The place I worked at had burn out marks everywhere. I really don't know why people dropped cars off to us.

i'll probably just wash mine, she's no show car lol

Mine is so far from a show car, I need to do as much as I can to have it pass as presentable =). Don't want to let SAU down.

Dave, all good to go with the house  Let me know what I need to buy... I have a fair bit of random crap already

I'll try sort out a good compressor. If not, I've got an average one we can use. I'll make up a list of things we'll need but if you want, I can just pick up what ever you don't have when I go to get stuff for me. I get minimal discounts =). Also how far do you want to go with this? A fairly decent overall clean or a full detail inside and out including the engine bay? A full detail does look, feel and smell nice but I'm just warning you. It will take up a lot of time to get 2 cars done. I might get a few small things done on my car the day before to free up a bit of time.

I've already booked mine in with the dude for Saturday morning beforehand...so I'll be nice and schmick looking for the day! but yeah I will look for the tell-tale signs you mentioned, though yeah for personality the dude seems good. Plus his ex and his mate wouldn't talk him up so much and recommend him if it would result in me telling them he flogged my car and that they're cocks for suggesting :)

No, my front bar is not fixed, nor will it be in time for this.. But Since Zane and Reece are going I am assuming we have nothing on that day and so I'm in, provided my alarm gets me out of bed in time... ;)
