Ive had a few days off sick and I was starting to get bored sitting around the house, so I decided to go play with some shit in my car - took a screwdriver to the roof mount TFT monitor to see whats up with it.. Theres no power hooked in to the thing :D Im now wondering if it ever had power or if they decided to disconnect it during compliance or something.

The unit itself has three connectors for power, and they look like so

The hole in the roof had only, well I assume it is, the standard interior light power connector..

Should there be additional wiring in the roof, can the standard power socket be pulled apart and jacked in to this unit or will I need get some work done to get the power to it?

Those 3 pins in the first picture look like they go into the plug in second picture. without looking at the monitor the 3 wires could be ground power and a switch wire to turn it on from remote source. Check with a multi meter if you have a constant 12v at the plug in second picture and also which pin has 12v on it when your accessories or radio is on. id guess that the red is a + and the green is a earth and yellow is external switch. Also check if the wire colours are the same under the black plastic in pic2 they might match up.

I thought that too, but they didnt seem to match up & I didnt want to bend/break anything by forcing it - the colours under the black plastic didnt line up either. I dont have a multi meter on hand but I might drop in the DSE and pick up one of their cheaper ones to amuse myself
