Hi guys, how you all doing?

This is my first post on the forum even though I have looked at the site for many years. I have always been a big fan of Skylines and I'm now wanting to buy my first one. I have found one I really like but just thought I would run it by you guy's who have all the knowledge as they are new to me and see what you guys think.

It is a '92 GTS-T R32 Coupe. 5 Speed manual. 78,000km. Registration until July 2010. The car is in a excellent condition both inside and out. Engine bay is also extremely clean and tidy and all services are up to date. Full service history. It looks like it has been meticulously maintained. No damage, no scratches or dents, the engine doesn't smoke, runs and sounds awesome. Silver in colour. Has a nice set of mags on it...no real major mods apart from exhaust and a few gauges. Price is $6,000. What do you guys think? What are common problems to look out for in these cars? Is there anything I should check or watch out for? Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers and Hi for the first time!

For 6k sounds like a steal, check inside the rear guards through the boot lining to make sure no repaired damage, should look smooth. Other than that remember you are buying a car built almost 2decades ago so normal wear and tear will appear. But as i said for 6 grand you wont find a faster, all round nicer car.

Good luck with the purchase.

Thanks heaps to "grigor" who PM'd me...sorry I cannot reply as my post count is not yet at 10. The guy I'm buying it off swears that there is no rust on the car so I guess I will have to look for myself. I am going to be using eBay "Buyer Protection" so I am going to have five full days to inspect and test the vehicle before I commit to buying it. Is there anyone located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne who knows there stuff that would be able to come down and have a look at it for me when it arrives?

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!)
