Car Wont Start Help!

alright this is what happened....... was just driving around usual no thrashin or anything then i stoped and car just started shaking then when i went 2 go car just started misfiring and just pretty much went then i stoped and just tried to rev it and it reved a little and stalled then wouldnt start.... and got towd home. before this happened i use 2 hear a hissing noise from back off a house when i had car on not when i started it coming from fuel pump im guessing and now i cant hear that so im thinking fuel pump is dead im not sure car got new spark plugs and coilpacks 10,000kms ago so i dont think it would be them but any help thanks

Sounds like the fuel pump...especially if you cant hear it on ignition. To confirm this get some one to turn ignition on and off while you hold the inlet hose on the fuel filter....if u done feel any fuel pulsing in then its pump not working...

try looking at the fuel pump fuse/relay...worth a shot....

should have tried bashing around the fuel pump before the tow.. ...worked for me once or twice before my pump really stuffed up...

Same thing happened to me last week. Take the fuel pump access cover off (next to the battery) and check for batt voltage on the 2 pin pump connector, with the ign on. Should you have ~12v, then the pump is dead. The pump fuse & relay is also in there.

Should the rubber on the bottom of the pump be soft & badly swollen, then you've been running E10 -

man that would of sucked, is it all good now, what have u done to it like any mods etc ?

hey nah its going to the mechanics tomorrow he come and checked it out too day and thinks its the fuel pump as well but yeh

thanks livicuru and fto was fuel pump shat itself but got car back today going good
