CBF!

dead thread. this thread is dead.

I have been reading too much Dr suess to the kids.

The Slotted rotors and MX72 pads went well at the track the other day. quiet as a mouse too during my daily commute.

keen to try the carbotechs though in the future.

the carbotechs will squeal like a p.ig with OEM, slotted or jhook rotors. However the jhooks do make a "clicky" noise with the jhook sliding/cutting over the pad surface, nothing near as bad as the carbotech squeal. FWIW, i've switched to the MX72's and personally i have found them very kind to rotors, virtually squeal free, cheap, probably 90% the performance of the carbotech xp12's - good for my requirements.

09 GTR and I tried the MX72's but at bathurst last year the front backing plate on the pads delaminated. They just couldnt handle the heat. Maybe it was the track?

I find the carboteks much better anyway than the MX72's.

If you order them yourself from the USA they are cheaper than the MX72's.

I can give you my contact in the US if you want it.

Interesting about the backing plate. I'll have to check mine out. I guess bathurst is anpother kettle of fish. FWIW we can get the mx72's for $699US a set.

Thats a pretty good price. So converts to about $800 Aust delivered?

I can get the Carboteks for about $700 Aust delivered.
