you would think that is the case, but I find that overcast conditions can make for some better images as sunlight is nicely diffused and there are less harsh shadows and glaring that you will get in sunny conditions.

it really depends on the subject though.

Agreed. Cloudy or late afternoon always make for the best photos. Well, for me anyway. I am still an amature at this.

A quick Panorama, not perfect, I'll spend more time editing when I get a chance

This one I thought was interesting shot of the Heavens, I took a whole heap with the plan to render it in HDR, unfortunately, as these were 10 second exposures the clouds moved too quickly and it didnt turn out right at all, so this is just one of the frames.

Do you have the raw file? If you do you could try to psudo hdr it.

actually, good point I didn't try a single shot to see if that will work, i'll run a few now and see if its any better

still no better to be honest, the sky is already very high contrast. I might try a photochop of the sky and scenary
