Air filter?

Don't drive around without an air filter. Your engine will start to make funny noises after a few hundred km.

You see them at shows and for a few runs at the drag strip. No one in their right mind would drive around without an air filter...the gains are minimal on a street car without ram induction and your engine will deteriorate very quickly. Mesh is better than nothing but it still won't be anywhere as good as a filter.

how about an air filter, you know... those things designed to filter air thats going into an engine.

If you dont like that idea, sand is pretty good at filtering crap out of liquids, and oxygen, when compressed enough is a liquid so pour some sand in there.

It'll work great....

I promise

if its just for show purposes, put pod filters on there, pull off for show, put back on for the drive home.

What is the point of that? It is like going to the show, taking your clothes off, them putting them back on afterwards.
