i had this sard reg on my old fuel setup with just one 044 but now i got two 044 fuel pumps feeding the rail, the motor has just been built so when i goes in for the run tune i dont want it to be over fueling the motor or something else that i could of fix before the tune... so does anyone else have one of these regs with a big fuel system to know if its to small... cheers..

put a fuel pressure gauge in there and see with the reg adjusted to the lowest setting and see what fuel pressure you get, this will be the minimum, aslong as this is less than ~30psi it'll be fine. obviously dont run the motor if your not ready for that, just let the pump prime a few times

Definately too small - will overload reg at low loads. Use a pressure switch to turn the secondary 044 on at high boost and you won't have any issues with pumps overheating or fuel pressure problems.

If you switch one pump on and off, be sure to install a non-return valve on the suction side of that pump...

Two 044's are alot of fuel... especially if you try and squeeze it through a small return oriface (sard reg)

To help stabilize fuel temps and return pressure, I will be running a FPR with a -10 return outlet and -10 retun line on my next set up (1400hp aeromotive pump).

This is the reg:

I also need the muliple outlets for nitrous, 2 fuel pressure transducers and an accumulator.

Hope that helps

Justin.

I ran one of these regs with 2 x 044's for years...never a problem with lack of return flow...we even measured flow rates and pressures at idle...rock solid.
