I have the switch as well but they don't fold when I close then they only fold when I put the switch down when I put it back to the middle or top they go back out ( if left on any top bottom or middle they still don't auto fold when I lock the car or turn on the cAr)

ok i should have mentioned there are TWO kits.

one dips the mirrors when going into reverse, VERY handy IMO

the other kit folds the mirrors in when you lock the car. but im told the factory switch MUST be in the 'up' position. that would be the fold-out position.

in the middle setting, it does nothing, in the 'down' setting, they will be always folded in.

Yes, there are separate switches for this.

(on my car....)

to the left is the "auto-fold" switch, this is as described above.

under my right leg, under the wheel is a small push button switch which toggles the auto-tilt.

the auto tilt for reverse?

i should buy a kit, kick ass addition IMO

No not always. The "tilt" is good only for backing into a kerb parking space. Normal reversing is a PITA with it on. The fold in option is ok for tight spaces but again you don't want it on 27/7. Both options dont return the mirror to the pre-set angle which again is a PITA.

in every setting, (up, down, middle.) the mirrors wont fold in when I lock the car. :)

mine stop working when the alarm installer installed the alarm... brough it back to him and told him the problem, he checked all the connections he did on the car and found out he forgot to attached one ground to the body, (which is under the dash). tried it and works fine....

cheers!

Mine do... The mirror tilt is always by a fixed amount, that is adjustable I think, so it then returns to it's orgional position when you go from reverse into drive. And with the folding, it always returns to the indented position..

Mine Don't. I should add that when folding the housing always returns to stock but my mirrors do not, not 100% of the time. :D

And the tilt rarely returns the mirror to the preset angle as well. So needless to say I use neither unless it really calls for it.
