Now I'll bet my left nut, that if the R35 was really hard to drive quick...everyone would be saying how good it is because its a mans car.

Tbh I wouldnt care if the things ran 55secs in reverse around wakefield. They are still a rich kid poser mobile, Just like most Porsches, Ferraris etc.

As for this wing making a 1 sec difference around a slow track like wakie....well I'm a bit skeptical

But then again...if I just spend 3+ grand on a towel rack id want to justify it to myself as well.

i am neither rich, nor a kid. i bought the r35 because it's a track focused car. literally the quickest thing this side of $450k (road car). A spectacular achievement from nissan. i've done 17 track days since i bought the thing; the few people i know who own one bought them for the same reason (and actually track their cars regularly).

ffs what wrong with some people. why all the farking hate bs?

Because they drive the equivalent of Morris Minors (but not as collectible) hence they hate you. Easy isnt it

As MD says... He that is not jealous is not in love. :)

I just hate everyone that is doing track days, not too many in Hyderabad  About the only motorsport i have is payign rickshaw drivers money to hammer through corners on two wheels :)

Quite the contrary. They'd be saying what a P.O.S it is for the money. This car can't win when everyones totally adversarial. Its crap because its too good and drives itself or conversely its crap because its just crap.....

I might of missed it but whats the retail on one of these?

Might need to add one to the project.

Hi Luke,

There is a product matrix table showing the differences in specs between each model of Aeromotions wing and US prices here ...

Aeromotions Dynamic Wings are a proven quantity and there is a lot of hard data to show how well they work.

These cars all run Aeromotions wings ...

- the Cannonball R35 GT-R (winner of One Lap Of America)

- the Crawford Subaru WRX STi

- the AMS/NOS Energy Drink EVO X

- Mark Berry's Advan / Hi Octane Racing R34 GT-R

See this post which includes a lot of info about lap times etc ... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=5169103

As we wrote in that post ...

Aero plays a much greater role in laptimes than many people realise, which is part of the reason why so many of the World Time Attack Challenge cars are doing aero development in the lead up to Superlap in May.

The key is the laptime, which speaks for itself and clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of the Aeromotions Dynamic Wings.

The stopwatch doesn't lie.

Make sure the rickshaw driver has been smoking the local leaf, it could be considered the human equivalent of ESP, and would classify you as a nancy boy should you hop in his hot-rod

Most people aren't really hating on the car, I don't think ownership and popularity is as paradoxical as you might think. I'm thinking alot of the supposed haters just don't like it that on one hand someone will say this car is one of the greatest achievements of an auto-maker to date and on the other hand take more credit/glory than they feel the driver is deserving of.

The jealousy factor is a load of crap IMO. That's what parents tell bullied school children. How many people hated on the previous king before the R35 showed up and took its crown? By that rationale any snubbing of the ZR1's achievements must be out of jealousy, when I know there are a few of you who simply would never go near anything American on principle alone, even if these cars shared the exact same retail price. People are allowed to dislike a car without envying it. Mistaking someone's criticism for jealousy is one of the worst / most ignorant egocentricities one can display...

If i knew how to post 1.2mb vids i have footage :bunny: Truth is know way i would get in one when they are doing 2 wheel u-ys accrss city intersections almost getting t-boned :P You wont get me touching betel leaf either :)

Was the original poster able to find logs from with and without the wing? Its a dramatic improvement over a simgle lap, did Nissan miss something with the wing on the std car, they put all that money into the chassis, gearbox and electronis ...seems strange that the wing woudl be so rubbsh

I don't think Nissan missed anything. They just went for the best balance. I'm sure carrying an aeromotions wing set for a fast lap around a tight circuit the GT-R wont get anywhere near 300 KPH on an autobahn. Economy would probably also suffer with that dragging behind you... Plus its a bit over the top styling wise :ermm:

I understand all that, but this is the nissan flagship model, with how many millions of dollars spent on development. I understand any production car is always going to be a compromise, but is the R35 shape the way it is because of aero performance. Seems strange to me that if they simply put a wing on it then they would have been able to lap Nurburgring 5-10seconds quicker... but yeh.

I think they'd be pushing shit up hill to get any wing on stilts passed any pedestrian safety regs mate. The thing has a pop up bonnet (which Giant and I found in our first rally with the shit box :ermm:) to bounce them over the roof and cushion them from engine strike, not much good if you survive the front only to be chopped in half down the back :bunny:

Hey, am I onto something or what :P

Wow, you guys are very easy to stir,

While I rate the R35 as a fast car, I still dont feel they are a track focused car as such, I feel they are a quick Gran Tourer.

But then again I havent driven one so I really shouldnt comment lol

But to stay on topic, When the wing lifts under brakes, does it unsettle the car?
