Hey Juliette, a CUBE would be cool as!

Indeed. I've wanted one for the last two years. Instead of continually obsessing over them I'm going to buy one.

YES!

Oh yeah :)

try this Juliette. its a rebadged scion i think linky

Negatory. They're overpriced and have no personality whatsoever. My Cube will cost half that (and much less to run.)

looked into buying a cube. just quietly... it kinda sucked for daily driving (borrowed a mate's one for a week).

great if you wanna stand out. horrible blind spots, bad fuel economy, kept feeling like I was driving a van and if I crashed I was gonna get flung through the window.

so I bought a golf instead :huh: 7L/100km on 95 octane. diesel does 5L/100km. cbf with diesel though, accelerates like a snail. at least the 2L petrol accelerates like a turtle.

It'll be better than what I daily drive now as far as comfort and fuel economy go. It'll also be more practical and easier to park. I'm honestly just madly in love with them. Can't wait until Ben (J-spec) or I track down exactly the example I'm chasing. It could be a few weeks before exactly what I want pops up, but I'm sure it will. There's thousands upon thousands for sale.

how would you reference engine efficiency as an equation?

and what about things like turbo linear flow vs rpm etc

like

POWER = STD POWER x (TURBO x INTAKE x EXHAUST x TUNE)

ie in its most simplistic form

so say INTAKE is 1.0 for std bog stock and say a pod filter is 1.03 and pod filter with ducting and shield is 1.04

how woudl you factor in a std turbo which is linear , vs say a T88 which is non-linear and insta-wheelspine when efficient?

say std turbo TURBO is 1.0 and T88 it is 2.25 but that would just magically shift the power up, which isnt right, so how do u linear bend the curve ? (in mathematics)

Thanks, but I've already paid J-spec their broker fee.

I'm also after one pretty specifically so I'm waiting for one that suits my criteria to come up.

ah yeh haha

yeah this guy has one forsale but is an importer, so couldve got what you were looking for to

but better to not waste the broker fee :whistling:

haha that shit sounds wack!

engine power is proportional to density, fuel, pressure, rpm, etc

Im thinking you would probably need to come up with a formula for a given curve on a compressor map which fits the turbo (based on the amount of boost you choosing to run);

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compressor_map

http://www.turbocharged.com/catalog/compmaps/fig9.html

Then work out roughly how much a psi of boost would increase in horsepower or something. Never covered engine design etc in my stream of engineering.

My friends are in their final year of aerospace engineering and have crunched some epic numbers for jet engines etc, ill run the question past them and see if they got any ideas.

Shan - search function on J-spec is shizen, especially when I'm spending at least 4 hours a day on there at the moment :P

You should tell craig about it... like exact details and why. He's been tryin to make it better for users. [email protected]
