Grant I think I'll be going with -5s once I got some cashola, I'd love a high mount but don't want the cop troubles - (more so I guess) anything above 350 awkw and I'll be happy obviously will be doing a lot of other stuff as well :D but just figured if I'm modding it I may as well make it worth while. Go for lots of power! you said you were bored of 300rwkw before remember :P

I was pleasantly surprised with -5s but it was with built motor and proper driver.

Now, my lovely next door neighbour is talking me into buying my old GTR (which is a wreck) and take some bits and put it into my GTR and sell rest of bits...

Rear end is good, interior apart from dash and airbags is good, motor still runs, have os triple, hks gt-ss, power fc, cam gears, I did 100k service, coilovers, BBS LM wheels.

These I can sell.

-5 i would say too grant...

Yes it would be good if you are flirting with power.

For street setup and response, you can't beat -9s (aka HKS GT-SS), fantastic turbos shame I never get to run one with EBC and set some gains blah blah blah...

You can get anal raped for no water in washer bottle these days... I also considered -5s but found T78 kit for 1500 but 2 blade shave slight chip so dunno.

Maybe I'll hit him up to check out his motor and take me for a spin.

Or I retune it and see if it is any better than before. If I change the turbo(s) it would defeat the purpose of me buying GTR with at least turbo upgrade in first place.

Lol true can get raped either way. Joshs car will soon get it's nismo afms. I'll get him to take you for a ride when it's pushing over 400awkw. It's on a conservative one at 343kw and they come on 21psi at 4500rpm. Running -5's

they're giving away 300 lifetime free 100mb hosting based in sydney. use free subdomain to make it totally free. Not bad if you just wanna host some files or use it as an email forwarder etc. never know when you might need it. it's free anyways.

sweet thanks for that. Just signed up :)

    • These are small points I should actually add to my original post. GKtech makes an extended slave line for this conversion. It's what I use, and it works well. You'll also need a CD009 slave cylinder.  S/R Chassis Z33/Z34 Conversion braided clutch line As for transmission sensors, you'll need to both extend the wiring and replace the connectors. I can't recall which is which, but one is your neutral switch and the other the reverse switch. As they are just switches, just test for continuity with your transmission in neutral or reverse to figure out which is which. • I’ll try and see it could be the release bearing. As for the 4th gear grind maybe clutch doesn’t disengage properly cause it is slightly like very slightly hard to go into first could be due to the slab cylinder pin being short uni clutch is a twin plate.   Ive attached some assembly photos hopefully you can open the link and see maybe detect what’s wrong https://share.icloud.com/photos/0dc2YvW__Hl6jl-l2_0jejjpg https://share.icloud.com/photos/09e0jkWOK-vP48c1cfY6u3ViA https://share.icloud.com/photos/0b4rDmh5R7pK7fb1VtND73a3g https://share.icloud.com/photos/05eeUi_6dC4DVi80jOUYDgb0g https://share.icloud.com/photos/06335TgY1XxyIJal_wkdQLhzw
    • Yeah for sure that is peddle adjustment
    • What are your thoughts on this after having it for a while, worth getting?
    • Downshifts are harder on transmissions than upshifts, the input shaft naturally slows down once disconnected from the engine so the synchros aren't doing all the work. There's no "natural" tendency for an input shaft to increase RPM. Something is not right there, I don't have a great answer on what. You can try a dedicated GL4 75W90, I plan to switch to Motorcraft XT-M5-QS which is supposedly a very good 75W90 for NB Miatas which have a weirdly sensitive transmission from the factory. I would chase down why your clutch is making a hissing noise, that's not normal. It might be no big deal but in the absence of anything else to investigate I would look at that.
