Haha and you consider that high stress?

r-comp tires puts you straight into mod class. With Bribsy, Ryan and Russel.

The hoosiers are ass in the wet as well, basically a slick. While AO50, RE55 are great in the wet (when hot), even better than street tires. Or so I've heard.

Shipping from tirerack is $350'ish for the 4. This was only a month or two ago.

I though we were in mod class anyway. Where do I find points and stuff? So I cant use r-comp tyres if I wanna get points. I just want better times haha

Shipping isnt too expensive, alot cheaper than buying from here anyway :)

I'll be in standard 4WD then :D I'll probably suck being the first time on Winton in a turbo car, hell the first time I've even taken the R to the track. Was good fun in my old N/A though. What sorts of speeds do you hit down the straight? Cant remember

So your cheating by using a hi-flowed turbo? ;) haha

So I take it i'm last?

It doesnt really bother me what class I get put in, I just want faster times....

I would rather the stocker, its got mad response. But blows its ass out after time.

You're not last either, Rob in the other black S2 is keeping the bottom warm at the moment.

Winton is 170kmh tops for me, but it is not sustained. Ie you're on the gas out of turn 15, then into fourth 100m down the road, then hard on the brakes 450m later.

Where as Calder, PI and Sandown you are on the gas for a good time. Though this all depends on how you exit the corner onto the straight.

they yours?

nah they new

Hmmm I cant afford them atm, id rather buy rota's in any size I want, if they break who cares LOL

sorry man, they are 18x9.5+28 (i got told the wrong info)

also driftek's are now available in 17/18 x 9.5 in any offset you want from 0-25

in other news, work hadn't even STARTED my XD9's that i ordered 3 months ago, so i swapped the order for these:

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
