post pic of e39 pls.

how many kms on an e39? servicing etc will cost u lots more

Wrong

Mohsen - E39 servicing costs will suck, but it's not going to kill you. Get one and make it good.

Wrong

lol where do you get your info?

Assuming he services it himself its no different to a jap. They still use same oils, filters etc so why would it cost more to service?

Ever had those dreams where your fighting with someone and no matter how hard you hit them, how much you shoot them they don't die?

Yes. In one of them, I have stabbed, shot, and carved into the head of a guy with one of those electric roast cutting knives. He was still very much alive and still chasing me down...scared the shit out of me. Seriously, why wouldn't you give up after I've scalped you with a kitchen utensil? Makes you wonder if you'd ever be capable of performing your dream actions in a real life scenario.

I've also had a few dreams where I'm trying to kill someone...I have a gun and I try to pull the trigger, but it's really physically hard to pull it, as if there's some 20 pound spring in the gun. And when I do finally pull it, the bullet does like 3hp damage to the person. Gay.

*cough* parts

Even a Ferrari is cheap to change oil. Do a valve and you'll wish it was a Skyline...

Big assumption there. It's Mohsen ffs - as if he is going to service it himself.

My best friend has an E39 actually. He has spent thousands getting a few things fixed (ABS computer, fan transistor, dead coilpacks, other stuff I cannot recall atm). More stuff to break = more expensive to maintain. Me and my mates with jap cars (all older than his bmw) have had no such issues of similar magnitude.

I agree with regards to oil/filter type stuff, but most are too pussy to get their hands dirty these days and there is also that bullshit 'it's a BMW' mentality which means many owners are too scared to do anything themselves, and 'specialist' mechanics end up charging through the nose. Have seen it first hand several times.

yeh i wouldnt execpt mohsen to be servicing it himself and even if he does as said above parts cost way more.

also generally speaking when you own a 'prestige' car you dont service it yourself or take it to barry down on the corner you get it done properly by the dealer to help enhance your resale. People like to see certified service history.

LOL ok maybe not :P

my uncle's owned about 14 beemers so far never had any problems except for a e36 323i which did end up costing him thousands but that was a lemon to begin with.

obviously dealers are gonna screw you up if you want the service history but he's only asking about a cheap 5 series not a fkn M5 so who cares about documents you're gonna lose on resale with the skyline too...

yeah true alot more parts to break etc but they're not THAT expensive and wont break everyday. i'd be more worried about the big stuff engine gearbox etc which from what i've been told and read they do last.

its pointless asking here really if you wanna know about the car go read about it on BMW forums, test drive both then make up your own mind. you're obviously asking here coz you wanna be told to get the skyline..

NA 34's are 5 stud? If so NA 34 Manual.

How long do you have left on your P's?? As long as you don't put it into a pole it will hold re-sale ok for 18 months.

Some NA 33's are 5 stud as well, like mine :D

have they just had the conversion done though?

or factory?

It would be a conversion, no n/a 33 came out factory 5 stud.

My old n/a 33 made 123.1 rwkw not as bad as people think they are you just need to find a good one and manual.

If I did it all again (the p plates i mean) I wouldn't go skyline at all too many people have them now and half of them are wankers.

I do half regret going from N/A 33 to 33 GTR just because lets face facts they look 'similar' but I REALLY wanted to own one at some stage in my life, and after bringing it on the track / drags the $$$$ vs performance cant be beaten. Don't know any other 20k cars that run mid 12s in street trim and stock as a rock. I was taking 350rwkw XR6T with slicks on the day - he mad?
