The rears I have gone 245 / 45 / 17.

A bit wider on the rears for a tad more grip / traction.

I did question him about it but my mechanic sorted it all out for me and that minor size difference does not effect it at all.

jezza, in17" you really want a 45 profile for anything around a size you are gonna want, 40 is for 18's... too low profile makes the wheel look mega homo

for my 17 x 9.5's i'm going 235/45/17

I wish I could fit a 45 profile... Apparently with standard suspension it's a no-go.

Maybe a good excuse to get coilovers though... I'll ask the MR2 boys what to do.
