also. if there's structural damage on a rim... you throw it away. you don't fix it.

I wouldn't have bought it if I knew what condition it was in. I guess that's the risk you run when importing wheels through J-Imports though...

I blame Hamish for suggesting it!

you imported IMO average wheels? why? weren't there ones pre-imported that were already in oz?

also, do these guys not ask sellers questions and inspect the stuff when they arrive in japan? you know... before you ship em half way across the world for near the cost of the wheels.

its importing 2nd hand rims altogether, its a risk in general..... cant blame Thuy

that's complete BS. there's no risk at all if you don't deal with amateurs.

its not j-imports

Well normally you get more than one photo. I got a low res pic that only showed the top of the rims and you couldn't see any damage at all.

well for major damage like previous repairs & gutter rash yeah

but when i got my old ssr's in they didnt spin 100% 2 wheels

even Jesse said that there was no were in the description that they were slightly off

had the fixed for cheap from Neways anyway, but it wasnt major damage.... thats normally listed

I didn't say I was going to buy anything worth that price  I just meant it's easy to spend that much on 2 guitars and amp rig. I've got a mate with an $11,000 guitar :D

At this stage I'm just going to buy a cheap amp for gigs (~$1000) and borrow my singer's Strat or Tele.

Luckily I can use them on recordings too :) One day I'll buy my own decent guitars. At this stage I just can't justify it.

$11K for a guitar is just fucked up!

Decent $500 - $600 for a guitar is good enough.

You can't justify it cuz your spending on the MR2 :)

Decent $500 - $600 for a guitar is good enough.

Depends on music style. My $700 Schecter sounds like poo for what I play.

I reckon $1000 - $2000 is a good price range for a guitar, then a similar amount spent on an amp.

LOL!

Schecters are decent.

You changed your strings?

Buy a decent amp?

Use of effects pedals?

Well if you have a decent Head and Amp, you won't need pedals.

+ when you play live everything is mic'd up.

BC Rich / Dean / Washburn / EPS / LTD / Jackson / Schecter are all good, but all the guitar tech heads love there Gibsons...

I have a BC Rich / Fender / Yamaha x 2.

Still looking for a Dean / Washburn or might go ESP or anther BC Rich.

All those guitars you listed are great for metal/hardcore/rock etc. but not what I play.

Don't get me wrong, my dream guitar is an ESP F-400 FM (picture below) but it would still sound like shit in my band. A Telecaster (as ugly as I find them) probably produce the best sound for what I play.

How sexy is that? :D

Ah yes, music style will depend on what guitar you choose.

In that case, the Fender Telecaster will suite what you'd want to play more. (From memory it was Soft Rock) was the style you like playing.

Having said that, Jim Root (Slipknot) and John 5 (Marilyn Manson) have used Fender Telecasters but of course with custimisation but use these guitars to give a different texture of sound.
