i like your work joeyjoe.

was the creator of that orange abomination referring to numbing my mind? it wasnt numb..just dumbfounded that stock suspension is better for getting 280rwkw down to the floor someone really should tell schumacher might get him another world champioship with that little pearl of wisdom.

Lol fag. I said it's better for acceleration than stiff suspension. The more the car squats the more traction you will get. Don't question my knowledge. I probably know alot more than you about these cars. Hey I've owned a 250rwkw r33 when I was on my l's (7 years ago) and p's thy had twin hr's. Handled awesome but no squat and ha no traction.

And just for your knowledge i have nothing againt Hamish and shan we actually are friends just tie eachother shit onthe interwebs all the time

man how do u walk with such a big e wang?

stock suspension is gay. dont try and justify it by saying u had a 250kw skyline on ur p'z.. mate i had a chrome mongoose so dont be fkn with me =\

your knowledge is rubbish if stock suspension is so great for acceleration why isnt everyone else using it? cos they could afford real suspension ?

hey my car has stock suspension still 0 to 100 in 4.88

is nobbad :)

...but far from ideal

the car would be quicker with suspension work

well mine has camber, caster, toe and pineapple kit

so still stock ish

Err I just compared my old 33 with tein hr's that cost like $3000 in like 2003. Awesome suspension for handling but didn't have any squat. Hence no traction. Thought i said that already but you must not have read that part. Obviously I can buy suspension anytime I want. But ot other priorities ATM than the car.

so u concede better suspension is better then stock suspension.

that was worth while.

of course it's better. But The suspension people buy because they have no idea and think that the stiffer the better. For now standard will do as it grips. I have taken it to skidpan days and it doesn't peform too badly. It's not an easy choice to decide if a car will be made for drift or traction. That the choice I need to make.

For record I did go to a skidpan training day. Thy had s14s with full drift setup and roll cage. I had my 100% stock suspension. Don't know if its the driver or the car but I performed slides on a wet roundabout all the way around. The s14 couldn't do 1 lap

For now standard will do as I blew all my money on a big fuckoff turbo, cocaine and bitches

fixed.

personally i'd rather get my suspension setup for handling before i worry about power.

not enough traction = get more contact area on the road = get your suspension right and run wider tyres (and run AWD :)).

saying stockies are awesome cos they squat is like saying the colour orange makes your car more aerodynamic.

umm, lol, thank-you shan? lol.. slightly creeped out now XD

just saw your devianart pics

you have skills!

the horse sketches are awesome. did you use charcoal to render or just normal pencil?

the cars proportions are a little off though :) practice makes perfect

the cars proportions are a little off though :P practice makes perfect

Are you saying my car is ''un-proportional''? :) :)

My silo was the first car she ever tried drawing, she does have skills, makes good coin too ;)

Lol love the quote

Haha yea I am getting something soon hopefully. Just need to decide spring rates

for a square car, yes it is :)

if thats a first try, she did a good job.

my first car drawings resembled integras with 48 inch chromies haha

Haha, thanks, yep jesse's car was the first I ever had a go at, I can defs see where I went wrong with it ;). Both the horse and dog sketch things were done in just normal pencil, nothing amazing.

there's just no privacy on the internet huh! :P

    • Update: I got the magnet out. I bought 3 different flexible magnetic reach tools, but none of them worked. The magnet on the tip was all less than 2lbs of force, so i had to buy a special cylindrical magnet that had a pull force of 9lbs.  The magnet finally came in the mail yesterday, so i got under the car to get to work. The super strong magnet isn't that long, so i only have about 1 finger pinch lengths to hold it. I was so scared when i was going in the hole, that the 9lb magnet would just fly away inside the oil pan never to be seen again, but i had my butt cheeks clenched and finger gripped on that thing so tight, i managed to get it to suck the other magnet out.  It was a victory for me last night.
    • Yep, pretty much what you said is a good summary. The aftermarket thing just attached to the rim, then has two lines out to valve stems, one to inner wheel, one to outer wheel. Some of the systems even start to air up as you head towards highway speed. IE, you're in the logging tracks, then as speeds increase it knows you're on tarmac and airs up so the driver doesn't even have to remember. I bet the ones that need driver intervention to air up end up seeing a lot more tyre wear from "forest pressures" in use on the highway!
    • Yes, but you need to do these type certifications for tuning parts. That is the absurd part here. Meaning tuning parts are very costly (generally speaking) as well as the technical test documentation for say a turbo swap with more power. It just makes modifying everything crazy expensive and complicated. That bracket has been lost in translation many years ago I assume, it was not there.
    • Hahaha, yeah.... not what you'd call a tamper-proof design.... but yes, with the truck setup, the lines are always connected, but typically they sit just inside the plane of the rear metal mudguards, so if you clear the guards you clear the lines as well. Not rogue 4WD tracks with tree branches and bushes everywhere, ready to hook-up an air hose. You can do it externally like a mod, but dedicated setups air-pressurize the undriven hubs, and on driven axles you can do the same thing, or pressurize the axles (lots of designs out there for this idea)... https://www.trtaustralia.com.au/traction-air-cti-system/  for example.... ..the trouble I've got here... wrt the bimmer ad... is the last bit...they don't want to show it spinning, do they.... give all the illusion that things are moving...but no...and what the hell tyre profile is that?...25??? ...far kernel, rims would be dead inside 10klms on most roads around here.... 😃
    • You're just describing how type certification works. Personally I would be shocked to discover that catalytic converter is not in the stock mounting position. Is there a bracket on the transfer case holding the catalytic converter and front pipe together? If so, it should be in stock position.
