\But you receive the letter from vicroads saying that youve lost the points once youve paid it, since if you get the infringement you may want to take it to court so until the court case you do not lose your points and it also says once you decide to pay the fine the infrigment is done and you no longer have the option of taking it to court, when Ive lost points if you ring vicroads they dont even know youve lost them until you pay the infrigment and then civic compliaince forwards the offence onto vicroads.

yes but the loss of points gets backdated to when the incident occured.

^ Yep, infact VicRoads actually deduct them before you even pay if memory serves me correctly.

They just send the notification once the pay is reconciled.

So if you clear a notice carrying points, you must ensure VicRoads follows suit as Police/VicRoads do not "talk" the best between each other.
