hi got a r33 gts-t series 1 1993 i replaced an o2 sensor from just below on the right of the blow off valve, was just wondering is there more than 1 o2 sensor in the car? cause this guy said most cars have two, i replaced it and the car quit running so rich and is great but still... seems a bit too much of a smell to be running properly. or maybe its just me... so yeh is there more than 1!?!?!? and if so where is it located im guessing under the car... sigh... shud probs get the software for my box soon... as im thinking this problem entails around that...

please help!

There is only one o2 sensor.

The o2 sensor works for highway driving, where your car is sitting on 100kph for example. When the engine is running at a steady pace, the ECU reads signals form the o2 sensor and adjusts the air/fuel ratios for better economy.

It does f**k all when you're accelerating, or idling in your carport sniffing the fuel rich exhaust gas.

That's my understanding of the o2 sensor.

if ur referring to the fuel smell at idle every car runs rich on idle to ensure a smoother idle, its the newer sort of cars that run 2+ 02 sensors one b4 the cat and one after, to this is to monitor the efficiency of the cat converters operation. of if u have a v6 then u may have 2+ sensors etc etc etc
