hey everyone, another topic about my R33 , LOL

Well im unsure here if it is the crank angle sensor what i have circled in my picture.

my car has a bit of a backfire at curtain RPM's and im pretty sure it needs adjusting does anyone know how its ment to be ?

you need a timing light to set it properly (set at 15 degrees BTDC or 16 or 17 if you run the car on 98 octane and want a bit more power), and it will have little to do with any popping or backfiring, etc.

thanks yea i run 98 octane, so would any machine be able to do that?

just go to autobarn and buy yourself a timing light for about $30. they are pretty simple to use. to make life a bit easier also buy a cheap ignition cable (the ones that go from the distributor to the spark plug on older cars. this just makes hooking the timing light onto the car a bit easier.

otherwise just take it to your local mechanic. they will be able to do it as the principle is same whether the car is an import or not.
