hi all

Im trying to find out how much boost a stock rb26 can hold to stay relatively safe i was planing on a full forged high boost rebuild but have just found out ive got a baby on the way :( so dats been put on hold but ide like to up the boost a little bit as its only running the stock 7 psi. Also ive got an apexi avc-r boost controler in the car dat the car was imported with what would be a good range for the high and low etc.

any help would be great thanks.

the ceramic turbine wheels are fairly well known to die if pushed beyond 15psi

you can get 260rwkW out of stock turbos with a full exhaust upgrade and a programmable ecu, which pretty much matches the safe duty-cycle limit of the stock injectors anyway

as my stagea is the rs260 ive been told that its the same running gear as the gtr with steel turbin wheels i havent pulled the intake off to make certain if this is true but how much of a differance would this make could i go higher later down the track if i upgraded the exhaust and injectors etc...... thanks again......

Don't run the standard turbos at 20psi. They are the same as the R34's which have ceramic wheels.

Correct

Some may last a while at that level but that won't be the norm.
