Hey guys,

Just wondering what the stock standard V36 security system is like.

As you may/may not know it already has the 'Intelligent Key' proximity entry and push button start.

I understand it also has an immobiliser but don't know how many or where they are.

I'm getting mine complied soon and have the option of adding additional security and am wondering what to add (i.e. just alarm and sensors?). Obviously I only want it if it's compatible with the existing system.

David.

may I ask which RAW is doing it?

if they are required to do it for compliance I would tell them to review their evidence. as for adding one to it. it is the standard nats 5 system. shuts the ECU down.

aftermarket can be done. just not in the conventional manner.

Hi Chris,

It's the one in Brisbane.

They didn't say it was 'required' for compliance. I'd just want to protect my car the best I can.

Is NATS5 good enough? I know the NATS on the S14 200SX was supposed to be quite good.
