Well it looks like a typical ebay ad... has a typical ebay price...

Forget it. The single most important part for the RB20 is the turbo, you need to spend money there, or the RB20 will just lazy.

RB25 turbo for 180-200rwkw.

HKS2530 for upto 230rwkw

Above that you have a lot of choices, but response takes a hit (3071, TD06 etc)

well a the moment i have an r33 s2 turbo on my rb20, my cars pretty much stock apart from turbo, fmic, bov and full 3 in exhaust,

i have a greddy emange ultimate, nismo 555c injectors, splitfire coilpacks, z32 afm to be put on at some stage and what turbo do you guys rekon would work well with this setup, mainly a street car and occasional drag, this car is an auto to with a 3200rpm stall converter,

i also have a nitro system to be hooked up at a later date.

any help would be much appreciated.

Considering NO2 is illegal to even have attached on the street... i don't see the point of taking that into account for a street car.

Fair enough if it was a trailer/racer deal... but IMO it sounds like you want a HKS2530. 230rwkw or so, will pair nicely with a reasonable stall.

Still not "great" but its certainly not terrible!

the n2o would be for race purpose only.

ok well how much is a hks2530 worth and where can i find 1?? and are they a direct fitment or will i need upgraded manifold etc

my aim is for a turbo that will come onto boost no later than 4000ish

Often wondered what the TD05-18G would be like. Its basically an EVO MR turbo so should be rety punchy on an RB20 and make more power then a 2530

240rwkw~1.4bar, more punchy than the TD06, very drivable with a 25, not quite there with the 20, but driving the TD06 and had a mate with the TD05 I can say its a good in between choice.

A lot more stealthy than a big f**k off Trust stainless highmount too! :P

And about 1/3 the price for the kit.

Underrated choice for sure!

While looking for a good ecu for my rb20 ... i was thinking emanage... but whats this nistune u speak of ? take into consideration i know f- all about engine management so keep it simple and what would be best im after 230-240 at all 4 wheels on my gts-4 so i need an ecu that will be good for playing with different parts while i slowly upgrade bit by bit..

Its funny how they advertised that you can get 560HP out of .58 A/R turbine internally gated. Its just not going to happen.

I would believe this is a typical mismatched KKR430 spec turbo falsely advertised to 560HP to rip off low budget consumers. and there is no way it can bolton to your OEM setup.

If your budget allows we are happy to build you some thing to match your desired driving ability and power level using proper Garrett and Mallet components or high flow your current turbo

    • Thanks for that.... If only I could do something once and be happy with that, like some people do....
    • I had no transmission at all so I managed to find a big box manual gearbox from an R34 GTT for an insanely good price in EU. I converted it to push type which cost more than the transmission almost, with parts from Amayama! These engines are very strong and can put out decent power with a properly sized turbo. You can save on money from parts like pistons and rods, and invest those in the transmission and other parts. I suggest you join the RB20 Enthusiasts facebook group, plenty of info and almost daily posts there about 20DE/DET/Neo+T builds. (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning third party platforms, just trying to help the buddy out)
    • Yeah, having tried all of those methods including BBQ+recipro/hacksaw, I ended up buying a bush press kit under $150 that works well, like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355967727167?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=sfmmuhxgqhm&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=dJvnaZ11TB-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY It basically has a range of pushers and cups with threaded rods between to press out a range of large bushes. The problem with any sawing solution is minimising damage to the subframe side, although it probably needs a quick sand afterwards no matter what solution you try due to damage
    • Hi. Thanks for the answer. I do not have instagram 😄 I too considering turbo the RB20DE NEO 🙂 But i think i upgrade the gearbox first or at least buy new.
