Hey Guys,

Thinking about converting to a top-feed injector setup, to open up alot of options for me. Just wondering if anyone has done it, what the pitfalls and traps are. How easy was it, costs involved etc.

I've done a search, but just cant find an answer.

Thanks

fuel RAILS on the other hand... I'm yet to find a single aftermarket side feed option... not even a cheap copy is available!

If I could swap my 850cc side feeds for top feeds, I would in a heartbeat... I'm miffed I didn't do more research...

I can see the appeal of top feed injectors - bosch's latest range of high impeadance EV14 injectors are available upto 1000cc/min twin spray. Bet they would tune great to. It seems that top feed is the what all manufactures are going to if not Direct injection.

what power are you making? im yet to max out the std rail on pump.

I was at 350rwkw on E85 with the standard rail. Only changed rail to go bigger 14mm injectors.

To the OP, no need to go top feed unless you are chasing BIG power.

If only Nismo made a 1600cc injector lol The 740s i had were the best injectors i have ever used.

Sorry to revive an old one, but im interested in getting a top feed setup on my R33. Main reason is because I want to get ID 725cc's. They are alot cheaper then any other type, eg SARD, NISMO.

I run a standard intake plenum. Would I be able to buy eg, an R34 GTT rail and use that or do I need to modify anything else?

Cheers guys.

    • Just something I found searching for more info on Emotion R, apparently the ECR33 Skyline GTS25t was either originally black, or there were two of them, the black one being the original demo car, then building a white one which was part of the 1997-onwards (to at least 2008!) Cockpit Tatebayashi Tokyo Auto Salon booth demo cars. It appears that Emotion R closed down in 2008 and was declared bankrupt in 2010: http://bank-db.com/hasan/208365. • Try fabricating something like this and install it under the pedals? Not sure if it's legal or not....
    • Even though I have some pretty good (brand) ratchet ringies, I avoid using them to break open tight bolts. A broken ratchet is very annoying.
