I recently bought a good catch can for my RB20 that was previously on a SR20... has two barbs on the can, one being of a smaller bore than the other.. I was curious if I need to make these as big as the ones on my cam covers..? was thinking of having both entry holes on the can the same sizing as the covers and have them service a cover each, then put another hole into the can for the return ( to plenum or intake pipe, whichever would be best ) any suggestions people..? would be much appreciated

the standard return pipe going from the cam covers to the intake as well as the one between the cam covers have restrictors in them. the restrictors in both from memory looks to be around 8mm so dont be too worried about the size of your hoses, as long as theyre bigger than 12mm they should be fine but keep in mind that you want the velocity inside the catch can as low as possible so if you can fit the hoses to be the same size as the outlet that would help.

unless you're running a bigger turbo, have lower than normal compression or have a bit of an oil problem i'd be going with a single hose servicing both by just running one hose from the exhaust side cam cover.

Sweet, I dont have much blowby, the cars done 110k and never gone over stock boost but will be putting on 2530 soon.. just measured the barb ID and one is 11mm and the other 7mm.. what would be the best course of action..? increasing barb ID and having both cam covers T'd into one barb with an equal outlet sized barb or going with a barb for each cam cover and fitting another barb for outlet..? I have also put in some S/S scourers, in some stocking material, into the tank to catch more oil.. thanks for your help guys, just keen on answers to these questions and I'll be set
