Brisbane Visit

Hi guys and girls

I'm flying up to Brisbane on Wed and staying for a few days in an apartment near the city (Melbourne st -westend I think) and thought it would be a chance to put faces to some of the names I regularly see here on the forums.

Looks like there is no organised cruise this weekend but I was wondering if you (or other imports) meet informally at any local spots (that are easy for rubber necked visitors to find)

I don’t know if I will have Internet access at the apartments, (so it may not be worth replying later in the week - I'll logon if I can though), but I just thought it would be good to see what goes on in the land of the banana benders.

theres regular cruises on thursday nights that go in and out of the city. but im sure someone could organise a cruise for this weekend its mainly (with qld) a spare of the moment thing.

Harry's Diner (northside) is supposed to be very good, not exactly sure which nights.

Macca's carpark Milton is good Friday nights.

Broadwater carpark (gold coast) on Saturday nights - after 10pm

Is milton maccas the one there next to AJM .. near the telstra building?

its right next to a BP servo. theres also a huge 4X brewery... its hard to miss it.

Or alternatively, go to Roma Street on a Thursday night and sit there and wait for the many cars/groups to come in and leave. I personally won't be out on thursday night and probably not till late on saturday night (family engagements) if at all. Otherwise I would have tried to organise a cruise :|

Looks like i'll have to visit milton maccs on Thursday night.

What time do things kick off? no use getting there 2 early coz I'll only end up eating too much (can a stomach be considered excess luggage when flying?) I'd rather go home with a few new bits for the car.

go about 8ish or so to milton cars start to rock up then and usually hang round for bout an hour then cruise off.

i dont work on it often cause i hate it so i usually stick on counter but im gonna be trained in back area soon cause a manager threatened my job today so yeh

well... it might take slightly more time to get this back together

but its still driveable - i just have to whack that support bar back in. Speedo, etc is gonna have to sit there resting behind the steering wheel. Ghetto mods at its best.. hehe
