Easternats Cancelled.............again

Recommended Posts

Wow, what an ignorant and f**king stupid thing to say.

I'd love to know how you feel you are so qualified to determine this guys wages and then of course how you became an expert on how much someone should be able to make befoer we can trash their livelihood and not feel bad about it.

Not content with condoning a bunch of f%$#wits carrying on like spoilt little brats whose mummy won't buy them an icecream and subsequently destroying someone else's property, now you are admitting and condoning insurance fraud.

cry me a river... ;)

here here, let me give you a pack of gums and i'll show you how to chew it

Maybe if you had more than 15 years life experience you might be a little smarter...

Business Insurance is nothing like car insurance.

If the damage costs $100K to fix, the insurer will pay the bill, and then increase the premium by 20% of the cost over 5 years... the owner ends up paying the whole lot, just don't need to find the cash at the time...

Cheers,

Daewoo

Mr. magnificent shirt lifter..

There are just as many business insurance companies who cater for small and large scale business as there are insurance comps. for cars, trucks and buses

I for one shopped around various companies for quotes before insuring my business/shop. Never had to claim but i'd presume it's just as simple as claiming a car insurance

barbarian has GOT to be trolling.... no one can honestly be that stupid...

i hope they all get caught, and anyone involved should be banned from any car related clubs etc (not that any of them would actually be members of a real club)

Not at all buds, i am quite sincere and direct with my posts

hmmm I can sort of understand where Barbarian is coming from with the whole rioting in Greece thing. But you cannot compare the situation from a car show being canned to a whole country being dragged up shitcreek. The peoples of Greece are experiencing something far worse than a tiny car show being canned

I think we can bare witness to who the actual troll here is.. eh Hamish? Flooding the page with the same post four times (three in this page and one in the previous)

What attracted my attention from the media the most was that the shop ownder claimed there was $15k damages in his shop front, which is an absolute unfathomable rubbish. From the images i've seen he had approx. two windows broken and a few mags tossed around by a couple pubescent teenagers who couldn't gain entry inside the small store. It's just another case of over claiming and i am quite positive that he will get his cheque in the mail with $15k printed on it by working his magic, taking it all the way to the bank to with a big grin on his face.

Just recently i had to refurbish my 300 sq metre store as requested by my franchisor replacing the most essential things like carpet which covers all four corners of the store, light bulbs and fresh paint on the walls costing me no more than $12k in total. I simply can't fathom how a small shop which is no bigger than 70-80 sq in size could rack up to $15k in damages. Bloke has struck a gold mine by making a claim on his insurance.. laughing

Sooooo... you 'shopped around', but you don't actually know what your policy provides for... fills me with confidence in your business acumen...

Well... As Executive Director of two companies (with a turnover of greater than $Au20M), and Managing Director of a third, I can tell you how our policies work, having sought tenders for our insurance, and performed due diligence...

If a business makes a claim, the cost of the payout is spread across 5 years and paid for by the business....

So while the franchisee, having already paid significant fees to Bob Jane T-Marts for a licence, and their advertising, and their access to purchasing (not always cheaper), but not having ANY influence on how the Bob Jane T-Marts company is run, could theoretically falsify the insurance claim, unlike your view, it is unlikely he would come out ahead...

This is the same, even when the insurer 'settles' a claim out of court against the wishes of the business...

But what would I know, I guess I'll just go back to shirt lifting...

What about his ute put on it's roof?

You don't think his insurance will send out an assessor to make sure they pay a fair and reasonable price for the damages

I call troll. No one could possibly be as retarded as you and still keep a straight face.

BTW, I'ma bet Hamish is having the same problems with FF3.6 that a lot of people are currently experiencing, myself included.

ok barbarian, next time a music concert is cancelled i'll come and trash your business. what's that you say? you have nothing to do with concerts? oh well, stiff shit, you are still in the music industry so obviously have some distant connection to concerts so according to you that would make it fine for me to trash your business in protest to the concert being cancelled.

there is a difference between "sticking it to the man" and "sticking it to some random individual/business who has nothing to do with it other than having a name association to someone who it turns out wasn't the person at fault to start with".

i'm a small business owner who has had to deal with insurance companies in the past for claims, and it can be a pain in the arse. thankfully mine have only been for broken windows and minor stock theft, but it can still be a pain. and then there is the stress from getting a phonecall at some ungodly hour of the night from the security company saying the alarm has gone off, then rushing to the shop to find out that a window is smashed, having to wait around sometimes for hours, for the police crime squad to turn up and do all the fingerprinting, etc and then wait round for a glass company to come and board up the window, and then start your clean up.

:( yes thats's what i was doing :)

so if i smashed your shop, trashed some merchandise and turned your car on its roof the bill wouldn't come to 15k?

so not only do you support the actions of a bunch of morons that have set the motorsport community back even further. you also have havent even bothered to get the whole story...

windows (which would be over a grand a piece) smashed, rims trashed, display cases trashed, support beams between windows possibly trashed, cleanup costs, loss of trade, repair bills for a car which when turned of its roof. i'm surprised it was only 15k

lol @ barbarian trying to defend his irrelevant point about insurance... who gives a shit buddy, insurance or not, trashing the guys shop was not right.

anyway you guys are just fuelling ignorant troll boy over there.. just let it die. quite clearly he is enjoying reading your replies, yet at the same time has no real interest.

mark.... my mates dad just got run down by an idiot cyclist on beach rd the other week and i was thinking of coming up to gympie with barbarian to trash your store... you know.... to "stick it to the man" because we are morons and have no idea how a civilised society works.

just letting you know in advance so you can sort out your insurance and over-claim.

don't worry, we'll just trash your windows, turn your car on its roof and throw some wheels around. Should cost you about 15 grand, but after you claim for 15 grand you'll be on top and glad we did it...

cheers brah, LOL

if you look at this pic, and then take into account the damage to the ute i can easily see 15k worth of damage. i have a 4' x 6' window smashed at the shop and the total bill for that was around $600. so $1000 a window wouldn't be far off the money. then you think about cracked/smashed tiles on the floor from rims hitting them, damage to rims, display stands, etc, i'd put the cost at being at least 20k. just the car alone would've been the best part of 10k if it was an E series falcon ute and classed as a write off.

Getting slightly back on topic:

Apparently shirts are being sold supporting the damage done (if you can believe the Herald Sun). Feel free to trash the car of anyone seen wearing them as a "protest" against "hoons". You'll be getting your point out to the general public and doing them a favour, think of all the cash they'll get from their insurance!

Ah right, thats not even that bad. The news.com article demonised it. They're almost on par with ACA and TT.

If it said "I'm happy that shop got smashed and we should riot more often" then it would be offensive.

Edit: And before anyone gets their panties in a twist, the trashing cars for a wearing a shirt comment was a joke. :(

Double edit: I know starting a sentence with "And" is frowned upon. :)

It would also be too long for a t-shirt. The attention span of your average rioting Muzza is about 6 words.

i rkn his damage bill would be an easy 15k those arent your average windows they'd be very thick and from what i know expensive plus all the other trashed stuff..

hamish can i come up to gympie to? i hate those damn lycra wearing cyclists *shakes fist*
