Well everyone, that hail weekend was one of the worst weekend i ever had killed the GTR again. i'm with Just Cars and i have to say the claim process was straight forward & customer service was exellent. Repairs have been approved and now waiting to have the car fixed. has frontal damage and was advised i'll have the car back earliest 2.5 months. Does it really take that long? with over night parts from Japan and all.

Making the claim wasn't daunting at all. Plus i thought they'll have a hard time getting all genuine Nismo parts but they've got it and has been ordered.

Anyone else has made a claim and came out positive?

With my old car they let me choose who was gonna fix it. I obviously chose whoever could get it in first. Didn't they give u that option? And 2.5 months fkn he'll that's a long time

Iv only made a claim through just car when my 33 got stollen. They payed me out in 15 days once the car was recovered.I also received great customer service.

But geez 2.5 months that is a long time, is that because the repairer has so much work on due to the hail storm?

OMG that was the day I just bought my Track spec R34GTR from Aaron. I missed that storm by about 10 mins, and left it in the rear view mirror on my way back to Sydney.

It was soooo close!

I'm sorry to hear your pride and joy got hit with hail. I am so lucky to have survived. It was just perfect timing really with myself and fiance flying in that morning, and then Aaron picking us up from the airport, and then doing the whole car buying, test driving, money transfer etc, and then went to town for a couple of things, and then saw the storm and drove like mad.

It felt like storm chasers, but I was the one getting chased....lol.

I claimed my own insurance (Just Cars) and all I have to do is pay my excess of $500.

I am waiting to see the assessor this Friday to give me the go ahead.

I got my windscreen replaced as well and they will re-enburst me on that.

just had my hail damaged GTR assesed.

I was out off there in 20 mins, with a cabcharge back to work.

they wrote it off, got me to fill in some paperwork, money will be in my account in a couple of days- all done.

got to say Just car was very good to deal with.

I've had 3 claims with Shannons. And they are nothing but Awesome!

First was when a certain SAU Photographer attached a suction cup mount to my windscreen @ a SAU DECA (which already had a stone chip on it). The suction cup mount then developed a great crack up the entire windscreen.

Rang Shannons on the Monday after DECA, and they sorted it all out with one phone call. Tuesday arvo and i had a new windscreen. The windscreen guys even came out to the building site where is was working.

2nd time when some muppet on a road bike shit himself off the lights and proceeded to fall onto my car, I simply rang Shannons, told them what happened and they simply asked for the details of the muppet and for me to just go get a quote of my panel beater.

I did that, they went the muppet and then paid the panel beater out ASAP after the job. VERY EASY!

3rd time is when some scum broke into my shed and stole my Mountain bike. I rang Shannons and all they needed was 2 quotes on what the bike was worth and extra $$$ on said bike. I did that and, 1 week later i had a cheque to buy a new Mountain bike.

I can't reccomend Shannons enough! Super easy to deal with, they know mods when you descibe them over the phone, and often offer discounts if you are a Member of a CAMS Affiliated club.....like SAUVIC

I didn't get to choose my repairer, i wanted Micolour to do the work. But Just Cars choose which ever quote is cheaper. Is anyone with Just Cars and got to choose their own repairer?

I think depending on the area you are in.

I'm in Doncaster and they advised 3 different repairs and 1 was Graeme Cuthbert Automotive Prestige Collision Repairs.

So I went there.

i just got my car out from workshop after i had an accident and did hardly any damages...car was in for nearly 2 months, next week and i just got it back yesterday....i am with Just Cars as well....Reason car has been in for long was 1. The mechanic reckons that they could not get parts 2. They didnt know how to fix (as most of them are)....i scare them by saying that i am taking it to consumer affairs....

i had some parts supplied by Osaka and some were imported from Japan....

parts that i had to change was : head Lights, Bonet, Front Bar, Reo, Intercooler, Condensor and radiotor....no damage to engine at all.....

Finally they got it done in 2 weeks since than....

Speak to Paul from Osaka Imports for parts and he has contact to get someone to fix....i didnt do it because i just got to know about this from him.......Paul is good with his stuff.......

and yeah, i chose this repairer from Just Car (which was a mistake)!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my old skyline in the shop twice and both times just cars let me choose the repairer as long as if it was approved by them. Maybe give them a call n make a mention of a mechanic u prefer

I'm with Just Car and need some repairs done to the bonnet and front bumper (no-hail related). I normally get any work done by Mick @ Micolour as I know he does great work and makes sure it's right the first time. He always tells me I should be with Shannon's as in the event that something does happen to the car you have choice of repairer - no questions asked. Unfortunately I chose to go with Just Car again (and keep $500 in my pocket) and now I wish I had gone with Shannon's. Hindsight is a MF! Basically I got told I need to get a quote from a repairer of my choice and one of their 'approved' repairers. Even though they're backed by AAMI not all AAMI approved repairers are Just Car approved?? Go figure? Anyway I went down to the workshop options I had, (Not Mick unfortunately ) and they took photos. I was pretty busy as it was around Christmas and the car was completely driveable. After about a month I called Just Car to find out what was going on and they said 'oh you need to get the car viewed and assessed' and they gave me the phone number of the guy to arrange this. I called the guy and he said I've got the photos so no need for me to see it in person just choose which repairer you want to use?? Why the FK couldn't they let me know this straight away once they got the photos! I was on holidays and now I need the car for work.. not real impressed by that. No I need to try and arrange a time it's not so inconvenient with work etc now I back.

Saying all this I did see a guy in an Audi Q5 the other day which had small dints over every panel and windscreens all cracked, when I looked at him he just looked back and shrugged his shoulders with a smile on his face. My issue is only minor compared to that so Good Luck to all of you with any hail damage, I feel for you!

33 was written off - with just car, very good service was there for like 10mins looked over car, signed some papers and they gave me a cab voucher to get home and pay me out in 3-4 working days.

i have called up today and apparently they are still awaiting parts. but have started to work with the parts they do have and started with the car. seriously a month now and still waiting for parts? so much for "overnight parts from japan" (F&F).
