Bought an R33 a few months ago and it has an HKS badge and a Nismo badge stuck to the back.

I prefer a clean look and would like to remove them.

Any advice on how to get these things off the car without damaging the paint underneath?

fishing line or dental floss...then some prepsol.

OK.... This has been covered so many times... but once again only cause its an R33

1) Using Either a hair dryer or a sponge fillled with hot water Apply Heat either a few cm's away with the hair dryer or direct contact with the sponge and hold for around 1 mintue maybe more?

2) Run Thing fishing ine or dental floss through the back of the badge

3) Slowly pull the badge off with force, the cleaner the pull the less adhesieve to remove and clean later

4) To clean use either Olive/Canola Oil, Or Correct me if im wrong WD-40

5) Polish And Buff To Finish Job...

Juz

I just removed my 25GT T badge off my R34 this morning and the fishing line works a treat :P

I used a hot water and sugar soap solution then the fishing line

It still left some glue on the paint so I then used eucalyptis oil with a paper towel followed by the sugar soap solution.

I was very hesitant about using harsh solvents on the paint so I went with eucalyptis oil which I have always used for getting stickers off.

After cleaning the outline was still visible so I polished it and it's all gone :D

this is how i did it on my old commodore that i am painting. will make you laugh

tools required:

1 large hammer

1 large chisel

method used:

sit the chisel above the badge with the tip against the panel. take said large hammer and hit the chisel firmly. watch as badge proceeds to fly across the yard.
