Galois
yeah mate, story goes the compressor power is cut so that more of the engine power is going into performance. i thought it was more to do with %throttle but may be wrong, probably a combination of throttle and rpm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312680-ac-cut-out/#findComment-5143275 Share on other sites
Don Dada
The reason i ask is when i did a rb25det and now a rb26dett conversion into my C35 Laurel is does not cut the ac at high rpm/load etc. I am thinking the ecu for the particular engine cuts the signal to the ac compressor when it sees fit but apparently there is some other circuit that it needs to pass through??? Maybe only skylines has this circuit in the ac system???? On the ecu pin out there is the ac switch signal (pin 46) and ac relay/ ac cut signal (pin 9) that goes to a triple pressure switch thingy.... Can anyone tell me how i can get this feature to work?!?! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312680-ac-cut-out/#findComment-5149030 Share on other sites

Particularly the Rb25det equipped ones.If so at what rpm does is switch off and then come back on??? Thanks ooops...look like sau is givin some trouble yes on the R34 GTT it cuts the compressor out under heavy engine loads, (ie flooring it). don't know the exact cut off but it tells you in the service guide the exact numbers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312680-ac-cut-out/#findComment-5181893 Share on other sites
Charlie Bun
I think we are on the same track. When i rev fast like push the pedal to the max it could go to 6k rpm on the first gear. Then the power cut off and it felt like as if i pushed the brake so hard. O_o If i put on nutral and contantly rev harder it would go up to 5K or 5K+ a bit then the power cut off again and nothing i could do but to just watch it dropped down to about 3.5k rpm then i could rev again. This is really weird. Can anyone help me please? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312680-ac-cut-out/#findComment-5523167 Share on other sites
mad082
no point posting in here charlie as this is simply talking about the air conditioning compressor, which has nothing to do with the problem you are having. they are simply talking about the air con compressor cutting out, not the engine Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312680-ac-cut-out/#findComment-5523450 Share on other sites

89CAL
Theres a switch on the accelerator pedal when its all the way down. Thought it was the kickdown switch for the Auto's but I think it might be for the AC compressor or for both Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312680-ac-cut-out/#findComment-5526541 Share on other sites
