GoldZilla
The manual conversion thread is HERE, and I myself have posted quite a few photos of the handbrake location in there somewhere... Sorry, can't help with the question on the pedals, though. darrinspencer
Do you know what hand brake you have got The skyline ones are very similar to the stagea one, but the mounting feet are different angles I used a brand new stagea one for ease, was aprrox $170 and was not worn out. To make things easy you need to use the mounting bracket that is normally welded in on the tunnel. The bracket is made of 2 peices spot welded together. Series 2 auto's have one part of this bracket already so you only use one half of the new bracket. Series 1's I believe need to use the whole bracket. Either weld or bolt to the floor. Then the hand bracket will sit at the correct angle and line up with the centre console. Same with the clutch pedal, the stagea and r34 are the same, but the mounting bracket to the fire wall is different. Grab a stagea one and you will be right Have you got a centre console yet? I might be getting a spare one and possibly the pedal brackets etc. Attached is a couple pic's of a full stagea manual conversion. Might help Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312755-c34-manual-conversion-issues/#findComment-5143413 Share on other sites
KiwiRS4T
My conversion is from an RB33 GTR so maybe that makes the pedals easier to fit. If you look at the handbrake you will see that it is bolted on to a black plate. The plate looks as though it is rivetted on but is in fact welded to the tunnel. Oki34
I drilled the spotwelds out of an R33 to remove the handbrake bracket. Worked great along with the handbrake itself and the clutch pedal/master cylinder. R34 GTT uses a pull type, unsure of R34 GTR. Most R32 GTR's are the push type but as darrinspencer will confirm, the later model ones are a pull type. Josh is right All Rb flywheels are the same I use a late model R32 gtr box which is pull type rebuilt by Jim Berry for approx 300rwkw cost around $900. Looking at upgrading when the new engine goes in as it slips already esp being AWD Push type clutches are cheaper Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/312755-c34-manual-conversion-issues/#findComment-5148844 Share on other sites
