This car is very nice to drive and always puts a smile on my face. There has been no issues with this car at all, has not been on a race track (not including defensive driving / skidpan at Sutton Driver Training Complex) and have owned it since first imported in 2007 by Joel @ Excite Auto in Sydney. The car is not a daily driver since September last year as I had picked up a little run around with a tow bar. All servicing has been done by Trojan Motorsports on regular intervals and has also had the 100,000km service done. Engine, Transmission and Diff all run on high quality Motul oils. My engineering certificate was done by Ray Spence who is well known for being thorough in his work. The engineering report covers the FMIC, Exhaust, Wheels, Tyres and passes ACT Rego Inspections.

The price is negotiable and will sell for less without the Wheels and Tyres Combo. I have spare / original parts such as: Standard SMIC, standard diff, standard wheels with 90% legal tread, a larger cannon exhaust (not suitable for road use), an adjustable exhaust (not suitable for road use), standard Hicas unit, standard turbo, standard injectors, standard ecu, pod filter plus fibreglass enclosure, extra non-return flow FMIC with piping.

No joy rides or tyre kickers.

Hi, I have a few questions:

1. Could you please provide a dyno sheet?

2. Do you know if the eng cert is valid in NSW?

3. How much louder is the big bore exhaust?

4. What's the fuel economy like, and what kind of driving do you do mostly?

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply Ben, my subscription to this thread didn't let me know someone posted.

Yes, I can provide a dyno sheet: r33dynopsiforumwk1.th.jpg

I am not sure whether the cert is valid in NSW, sorry, someone else may be able to answer.

The big bore exhaust measured 94db at a random road side inspection.

The fuel economy is currently about 12.5lt/100 as it is no longer daily driven, on a trip down to Orbost, Victoria, I averaged 9.2lt/100. If I use a bit more right foot it can climb to 14 quite easily. The driving I most do is work and back which is about 23km round trip via Monaro Hwy (100km/h cruising speed). I don't work in the city so never really hit much stop start traffic.

Wow, that dyno curve is really flat! That would be about maxing out the turbo, right? Is that why the boost tapers off at the top of the rev range?

Also, forgot to ask, what's the clutch like?

BTW, 94dB is quite good methinks. I think the legal limit is 90dB, right? It's doubtful a cop would be able to discern the difference between 90 and 94db?

The fuel economy is quite impressive too. Mine is a stock auto and I don't do as well on the highway (high 9's, maybe low 10's) and around Penrith (semi-"city" driving) I'm getting around 13.5.

Thanks for the comments PM-R33!

I do have a later dyno print out somewhere from ESP Racing when SAU ACT had a dyno day which made 251 or 252kw @ 15psi. Just have to find it.

The clutch can be a handful if someone doesn't understand the way a button clutch engages (ie - my dad). Having said that, I love the clutch, it is softer than most button clutches (allows a little bit of 'riding' just to get you rolling in traffic).

Correct, 90db is the legal limit. With the larger bore exhaust on, the car sounds fantastic at full song. Even when I had it installed, I had no problems with police, it was only defected due to a random RTA inspection on the side of the road on the way to a SAU meet.

As for fuel economy, as with most cars, it really does depend on your driving style and the roads you drive on. I don't have any peak hour traffic to contend with on the way to work or home from.

    • Evening fam, Pretty much what the title asks, I have looked all over and can’t find a proper answer expect one post from almost a decade ago which is vague. ive seen photos and they look pretty much identical, would an r33 GTR N1 reo work on an r32? reason I ask is they are cheaper to buy… $700 compared to 1k+ for an r32 n1 reo

Great event last year and hoping for the same this year.    I've emailed them to ask to set a location aside for the Stageas for the show and shine - they are happy to do so if we can get them numbers, I'm happy to keep track of that. Entering as Nismo category.    I'll be road tripping up from Melbourne, would be cool to convey if people are interested, maybe there is SAU convoys from each capital?
