Sk's Bilstein Setup Or Equivalent.

I know there is mountains of literature on the SK setup- my only question is how are people going about purchasing a setup like this now that the group-buys are no longer operating?

I'm tempted to look at the BC line of coilovers (fron JustJap) but I know the Bilstein/Whiteline is a superior bit of gear.

Has anyone in NSW bought a SK kit equivalent recently? I know I can get standard bilstein shocks at any suspension place, but I liked the idea of the circlip-groove adjustment.

Where are people buying from? Costs? Any other info would be great.

I just purchased some sydney kid spec bilsteins for my R34 GTT. I spoke to Tony at Heasmans Steering, he knew of the group buy and had them in stock. Give them a buzz and ask for Tony:

I just emailed those guys. I am looking for a Bilstein setup for my S14a 240sx. Unfortunately Bilstein USA does NOT support us!! But I guess you lucky ones in AU have some for the 200sx that I might be able to find.

I just pulled out a set of Stances and I would like to actually replace them with a good set of Bilsteins. Does SydneyKid still sell kits? Anyone know if those kits are worth it? I want to pm him but don't have my 10 posts yet...

Bilstein shocks + progressive rate kingsprings (instead of linear whiteline springs) *he can supply you whiteline if you want, but he told me the kingsprings are better due to their progressive rate. Soft on daily and firm when pushing it.

Has circlip-groove adjustment too!

If you are keen I would give them a call, never had much luck with car stuff via email.

Sydney Kid basically just spoke to Tony from Heasmans and put some specifications in for Tony to order from Bilstein. Sydney Kid has not been on the forum for a while now. The group buys have all been closed. If you talk directly to Tony he will know what you are talking about.

I have exactly the same setup, I was recommended the king springs also by Centreline.

Jeff, does yours have the grooves or not? I'm shopping around for some Bilsteins atm, but i'm not sure where to get them re-grooved etc

When I ordered them they asked if i wanted the grooves, I said yes

That is the extent of my knowledge unfortunately. The installers said the grooves were definitely required to get my rear back to its 350mm centre of wheel to arch height. Which I think is the perfect street height on a R34.

Any machining shop with a lathe should be able to do them, should be around $30-50 for all/groove. I did mine at my work only added 2 grooves per shock, took me under 1/2 hour.
