i bought the central locking motor from autobarn

it has 5 wires, red, brown, green, blue, white i think

i took apart the passenger door trim

and had a look and got no idea how to hook the thing up and where to hook the wires

i know where the factory switch motor is but trying to figure out how to put the motor in and where to attach it

also is that clear plastic sheet that covers the inside of the door of any use?

Leave the plastic, it stops dust and moisture from wrecking your door trim, The easiest way to get it out of the way is to cut the black goo with a knife while pulling the plastic away. you only need the green and blue wires. you can hook them up to the factory door lock module next to the glove box or next to the steering column on series two, to run the wires through the door you need to undo the 10mm bolt in the connector in the door jam. then un clip the connector from the car side and pull it out all the way and stretch it so you can plug them together out of the mounting. then pull the rubbers back and carefully drill a hole through the guts and that will allow you to run 2 wires through for the motor. The attached pic gives you an idea of how to mount the motor, hope this helps, -Danny  :wizard:

The bracket should come with the motor, you bend it here and there to mount the motor properly.

the top black box is for the factory express down function for the drivers power window the one below it is window roll up for the alarm.

yes, drivers door.

the lil hole at the top of the motor is for the rod that should come with the motor to go through and it attaches to the door lock linkage with aanther part that you should have got with the motor.

the door jam is the area around the door that the door closes into.

G'day Chop,

If you're in dire need of those missing accessories that should have come with your central locking motor, I've got a fair few spares here.

Got the mounting bracket, actuating rod, little cast blocky thingy that attaches the actuating rod to the existing linkages and mounting screws. Most aftermarket locking kits are pretty standard so the rod and such should suit.

Yours N/C if you need 'em, you're in my area (SE Melb) so give us a yell/PM if you want.
