Just confirming that the hairdresser car is substantially waterproof at this stage. GT-R in the car hole safe and warm.

Strangley enough the only real arse hat i noticed on the freeway yesterday during the storm was a WRX driver cutting up the emergency lane...mmm typical lol.

My hilux got hit :)

New bonnet required ;)

My boss's Skyline is f**ked. Pretty much every panel is damaged, windscreen cracked, rear wing damage. Will be a write off. (As will his Fairlane, Corallo and BA Ute.)

A work colleague had three cars written off in the driveway and a tree fell on their house.

:)

I noticed 1 dent on my bonnet this morning on the way out to my 2 wheeled dak dak, will have a closer look at the line when i get home.

Woot, no hail in the hills (no power either) but tonnes and tonnes of rain... I'm honestly amazed that the 28year old porsche with its huuuge manual sunroof was completely waterproof!! Afaik, dad's fairmont got absolutely rooted.... Going to call Hyperdrive later and see if my GTR survived....

Reports that the roof collapsed at Alf Barbagallo motors onto the Ferraris and Aston Martins. ;)

Bardly, run down and take a pic :)

I am in Adelaide as of 8am yesterday morning and until this Thursday, I missed the weather but apparently skylights on my roof have smahed and flooded the place, nice. Also my dads BFII XR6 is battered the hell with dents.....

My GTR was cosy and garaged.

Had to go get food so took Porsche. Now 1 head light is out and wiper don't work. So crawling through the hills, barely being able to see and hitting huuuge puddles I didn't know were there was shit pants scary...

But, my damn car fixes itself! When I got home, still no power so thought I'd go to mums. Got into car, turned it on and wipers start randomly working!! Then all of a sudden, other headlight starts working!! Epic car, I love ya!!

I saw this big black lady running to a bus stop for cover when the hail came down really aggressive...

She didn't make it without a few fist size ice blocks hitting her back and shoulders lol....

Sorry I cant help but laugh bahaha She got hit hard by hail... Was like a war movie bahaha

(If your on SAU big black lady please forgive my laughter) lol..

I'm sorry to hear that some cars got damaged, hope you guys get it all fixed up soon!

Could of been worse... you could of been that big chocolate lady with dents in your back and shoulders :)

^ ha ha looks like the tunnel turned into a river.

Just driving around S. Perth now it looks like almost every parked up car has been ruined by hail. Some shiny beemers and mercs all ruined.

Got totally pwn'd. Just got back from the shops and got the shopping in and figured I'd better get the car in the garage. *Chunk* *Chunk* *ChunkChunkChunk*... Nooooooooooo!!!

All I could do was watch while the hail pounded my baby - alarm screaming out in agony. She now looks like a golf ball. Thankfully Just Car have agreed to cover it and are sending an assessor tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a new paint job - some of those dents aint getting pulled (like the ones on the a-pillar and front fender).

    • Well it does have a motor with the same DNA as an Accord V6 motor. The J30A is a successor to the Tiger rice cooker C32A motor found in those cars.
    • FD RX7 I would probably marry if legal R32 GTR is toughest NSX looks like it's made from leftover Prelude and Accord bits
    • When going to a suspension shop should I send them the default nissan settings or just let them do their own thing? I ask this because I have aftermarket rear camber arms and my car is lowered a bit (front end is basically stock after I change to those nismo bushes)
    • Ok sounds good, thanks for your help. Hopefully if I end up changing it to the nismo bushes I don't get that veering issue. I don't think there's a point in lubing up these bushes again. Weird that it it makes just as much noise with all the grease inside it versus without grease prior to removal. Bizarre.
    • Yeah, you don't need camber bushes on stock arms to make a car drive straight unless it's got another problem. F'rigsample, slide the thing into a kerb, bend the front subframe mounts a little....subframe is now twisted, shifted or otherwise in the wrong spot...and you need to do funky stuff with the wheel alignment to get it to drive straight. Maybe a little more caster on one side, or a little more camber. FWIW, I can have my camber off side to side by a half a degree or more, and either way, so more one side, or more on the other, and the car doesn't really want to pull to one side. It will definitely ride road camber differently, and want to track uphill (ie, towards the centreline when on the LHS of a normal crowned piece of road, like it should) or want to roll downhill (which it really shouldn't). But on fairly flat road surfaces, like the middle of a 3 or 4 lane motorway, a half a degree either way doesn't make a lot of difference. I sometimes do quite a few miles with my wheel alignment messed up, because I don't always get a chance to set it right again after a serious dismantling, before I have to drive it to work again. Like, a whole week's worth of daily shuffle.
