im installing a boost controller tomorrow and just wondering if im ok to take my boost pressure reading for the solinoide from the back of the intake plenum... ive allways taken this reading from the intercooler pipe just b4 throttle body... being just after wont make a difference will it, or should i get a little nipple put in to the piping kit i have?? :( thanx guys

Just a thought but... Could possibly have pressure drop across the fmic and a bit of slight lag on the reading, which would result in the turbo say making 22psi on the outlet but only having 20psi in the plenum? But thats probably just nitpicking.

Then again boost gauges seem to come off the plenum quiet frequently.

Boost is measured as a 'manifold pressure' isn't it? I'd say its more accurate coming off an inlet manifold outlet

Correct. Thats the boost pressure that ends up being fed into the engine. :D
