does not fit onto a series 1 r33 gts...

QUOTE]

They do, I have one on my R33 GTST.

However the 400R is essentially a GT-R which, as we all know, is slightly wider than a GTS.

Therefore, the 400R kit needs to be moulded especially to fit a GTS.

This is all I know tho. I dunno where you'd get one or how much itd cost.

PM, Predator. He recently had one grafted onto his ride after an accident I think, so that makes him an expert.

There are three different types

One for GTR

One for Series 1

One for Series 2

The ones for series 1 & 2's have different bumper support for both of the cars models in most cases they can be adapted for the car but some mucking around is required. Dont bother with gtr ones for a gtst to much work to get it to fit not worth it. My 2 Cent :)

For the bar.. try jetspeed - www.jetspeed.com.au I think i paid $460 supplied.

I bought one, like many people, because it requires little to no adaption to fit a GTS-T - most other bars require them to fit it (with extra $), as they need to be modified from the GTR shape.

im not 100%, but on my first r33, which was a s1 gtst, i think my insurance company paid around 500 for the 400r front bar...and i think it was from jetspeed.

thing is, the ones they supply, r copies. they have a mould and they just keep reeling em off. they r perfect, nothing wrong with them or anything, but as each mould is made, the bar size slighty increases. that doesnt really matter though, cos the panel beaters spent a day prepping it so that it would fit perfect..after all, thats their jobs...

man that car looks fkn sick ey

it came on the car. i believe its a veilside wing, similar to a gtr wing but the sides r a bit diff and it goes outwards instead of striaght up. i think it was a replica though..not an original...so you could prob ask around a few custom places and c how much they want to copy it.

as 4 the front bar....talk to them. it should go on easy, and if they say it will...fit it, and it doesnt, well, its their job to fix it then....not yours

REMEMBER I HAVE A GTS NOT A GTS-T

don't matter, a GTS IS a gts-t pretty much.. they're weird down there and don't always know themselves, it will fit, they're the same shape.

yeah, i'm with jet..get them to fit and paint it.. Its the cheapest method. I think they do a fairly decent job of it from what i've seen.

500 for the front bar, 160 odd for the indicators and 300 for painting and fitting. sounds about right

lets put it this way. i bought my front bar (gtr style) for $250 got free indicators got quoted $400 for painting and fitting. i told em maybe another day and i'm getting one of me mates dads to do it for paint costs

    • Hi soviet_merlin, We appreciate your concern regarding this possibly being some sort of PR/Political hype, I assure you that is not the case, I wish we could claim something like that, but in this case, we merely reached out for comment on the basis of the outrage we too felt, as those heavily in the automotive industry. Ps. the original source in the social media post is CarExpert not CarExplore.    Best, CE.
    • Made a bit of a discovery, but while I was cruising, I randomly decided to test to see if it worked and it showed up on my IC7. The entire time I tested it before, I never thought to turn the ignition on. I only tested it with head lights turned on but with the ignition off. Huge oversight on my end. I’m a dummy. I know.
    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
