Injectors Leaked Again

ok ok, i bought injectors used last month, and im disappointed because 1 injectors leaked again, so am planning to buy a new one... i got a

stock engine internals

apexi pod filters

apexi safc

apexi avcr

hks ssq bov

nismo afm

what is the better upgrade for bigger injectors?

does the car have an aftermarket ECU? i dont think the SAFC supports larger than factory injectors.

hmm... i got a stock ecu... so it can't use a larger injectors?

You *might* get away with safc - i'd check with your tuner. Usually if you change injectors or MAF you want a proper tuneable ECU rather than a signal bender like a safc, since the tuneable ECU will work a lot better. But, if you're happy with running an non-standard MAF with the safc and are tight on cash, you might be happy with slightly larger injectors as well. To an extent they can offset each other, so you'll require less signal bending with both in place. AFAIK, i could be wrong...

S-afc actualy works well for small injector upgrades for those on a serious budget, I wouldnt go more than 15% larger though, anything more and your fooling the MAF signal really messes around with timing.

as for which injectors. i'd say go for s15 480cc injectors. nice upgrade, fairly cheap, fit straight in (still need tuning though)

buy used ones, but get them cleaned and tested before using them.

ignore all that. i didnt see its for a gtr.

You cannot change them without altering management.

You can only buy reco'd FACTORY ones.

Save you pennies and go for an aftermarket engine computer...

Worth it in the end, cos then you have endless upgrades.

I'd suggest: Power FC is prob your best option but if not, try a Haltech, EMS or Microtech. Have a look through those company's respective web pages and see what suits your budget/needs.

RE: injectors, depends how much power you are making, you didnt include any info on your power targets, boost levels, of size of your current (leaky) injectors.

RB26s use top feed if im not mistaken, so you cant use SR ones, some nice nismo 550s or sard/denso 500s would go well with a Power FC. Find a tuned and speak with them, cos im sure that combo, of stock turbos, big injectors and power fc has been tuned many times before...

hmmm... my 1st injector is weird.. try to heat up the engine...and the leak disappeared... but maybe il look for powerfc.. now!... =) can i tune it myself??? i dont have a tuner here in our place...

hmm if you dont have a tuner near you then things get tricky...

i wouldnt suggest you tune anything yourself. tuning is a very complex thing, youd need a shitload of equipment, then the knowledge which comes from 10+ years of tuning a car, to churn out a decent power FC tune on an RB26.

you still didnt mention how big your injectors are...

it its leaking, check the o-rings are the correct size and that you've installed them properly...

i have a stock injectors 444cc, im located philippines, southern part.. our dynos are only located on in manila..very far..
