Would you like to share your opinion here.. My setup:

OEM S15 DE 10:1cr

VCT delete S13 DE cams

Water injection (not planning to use meth and still on 98)

All relevant supporting mods

Thoughts if I strapped a 5557? Do they come in a twin scroll? I would be willing to run it in the early 20psi range.

I am only considering setups that big now because of the WI kit, otherwise I struggled to avoid knock on a 28RS and the wrong cams :domokun:

Dammit...If I hadnt just lost my job an hour ago I would have ordered one of those 6466's on Monday :(

Jerks Terrrrk mai Jerrrrb

Why does it seem like you indefinitely just lost your job?

Move to Sydney, FARK.

I am definitely a lot more sold on the new Precision CEA turbos than I was the older Precision units, very impressive results - though for what you describe there I still favour the likes of a ForcedPerformance HTA GT3076R, if not HTA GT3073R for an SR. Those things have an awesome reputation for response versus their normal Garrett (etc) counterparts, and just happen to punch above their weight too... the Precisions in that size range from all I've seen also punch above their weight, but tend to be a bit laggier too.

How did I know I would get an FP HTA response out of you ;)

But your right and I will need to consider those too!

Not for me thanks, not spending a dollar on the stock twins

Can anyone point me in the direction please for some of these turbo results on a JZA80 but not using over 30psi? eg "normal" boost levels?

Would be nice to compare to a GT3566-82R

I have see mid 400kw with one of those an an RB30 at 25psi.

I have always heard the 3566 should be a gun...but I have only ever seen them on rubbish setups and not making the power they should

I'd assume it would come on somewhere between a True 35R and a t04Z, which on a 2J won't be that bad, are you staying auto steve?

    • Hi All Does anyone know what size bolts are used to mount the bonnet hinge to the bonnet on an R32 GTR please? I'd usually just buy them OEM but they are nearly £20 each and I need all 4
    • interestingly enough, i found out the answer is yes. doing a flush did fix my recurring A/T light. it might have been because of the trans filter: but that doesn't really make sense to me. the fluid/filter was super dirty. would that increase the pressure in the lines and trigger an A/T light? does the car even have a way of detecting that? i have no idea. i've done 200+ miles after the flush and no A/T light. if my A/B solenoids went bad, i would think the light would've come on. shifts and drives way better now though...at 2k rpm instead of 2500...no hesitation and downshifts when i want it to.
    • I vote go red. Only because I hate keeping gloss black clean. Was no worries helping out either! Glad you've survived the rain outs of QLD
    • I would again like too thank Matt for his help in me sourcing the detachable hard top for the little red car, without Matt's assistance in inspecting it and locking it down, I can guarantee it would have sold before I could get up to see it,  and as that was the only available NC hardtop in Australia, I consider myself extremely lucky on multiple levels To say I'm more that happy would be an understatement And, it is 100% water tight, I drove through torrential rain coming back south, and by torrential, they type of rain that doing 40kph in a 110kph zone was a real thing, and even then, the standing water on the Hwy was deep enough to throw waves I'm also more than happy that the huge "BEASTS" that Matt calls dogs didn't eat me for lunch, I'm sure the sniffs and licks were more to "taste test" me, over being to friendly Now to work out what colour to get it painted, panel match, or gloss black........first world problems are real
