Yeah I did the last CircuitClub event at Wakefield day earlier this year (Australia Day). That was my first trackday where I could get in the car and just drive it all day long without needing to adjust anything. My best was 1:18sec so need to find quite abit of time somewhere hehe...

would have loved to come out to this.

Hello Kitty has been sitting the garage for 6 months now due to lack of funds....

Should hopefully be back out to wakefield in the next couple of months.

Missus = g/f not wife lol

Mate i am sure you have got your car dialled in and running like a dream now! Really keen to see it again in action! Did the rear wing help with the rear traction/stability at all? Got rid of that epic trail braking issue?

I know that feeling... it was over 12 months between visits to the track for me in 07/08 due to lack of funds. :(

Be sure to let us know when it's going back out, very keen to see it!

yeh your right foot lol :P

anyone one thinking of making a weekend of this, or is everyone just heading down on sunday morning?

i was thinking of heading down saturday and taking the girls to the Zoo, staying overnight somewhere and then heading to track. What time are we expected at the track? Otherwise i guess i would be leaving the gong at 5.30 sunday morning. Takes about a hour and a half correct?

Yeah about an hour and a half from the Gong I belive.

The driver's briefing is supposed to be at 9, but usually starts a little after. If you do decide to leave Sunday morning, I reckon you can leave a bit later. There's no scrutineering, which saves a fair bit of time. For CC days, I normally aim to get there at 730, and even that is plenty of time.

im not sure to be honest, but your more than welcome too. I dont really do anything to it besides put fuel in it....its quite a boring car to pit for. Im going to wheel align it and give it a service this weekend. I think it will only be tyre pressures and fuel on the day, unless i have some missfortune and we have to emergency cable tie panels back on lol.

9am driver brief......means i can leave at 6.30. gold.

Stu...Do you need any help that weekend?

stu... remind me, do you run semi's? if so! I'll need some tyre pressure advice! I've never run on them before and I'll use them if I can find some decently priced semi's before next weekend

    • Not specifically the revamp Toyos. In the past I've used Nitto NT01s, which were essentially the same compound as R888 with a different pattern (that's what the internetz said, so just be facts). I did like the NT01, progressive fade, didn't go from grip to 0 grip in a split second. If you look at the serious street/track guys, most are either on Cup 2, A052, A050, AD09, CR-S or AR-1.
    • I have one of these! It is absolutely useless. It provides not nearly enough force on the bolt, it just slips over anything that is not finger tight. And if it's finger tight, you can use your fingers.
    • You have to take photos of the car in Victoria with a timestamp. So if you have big aftermarket turbo in your engine bay, your car is simply not getting a RWC and you'll be doing a lot of returning to stock, and re-modding after about 90 days (because cars that have had a RWC can be audited after the fact). The law I'm kinda ambivalent about. I can see the logic and the writing on the wall, Cobb etc would be well known for selling to 'wink wink off the street usage' but in the real world everyone knows what they do and where they end up. It'd be like someone selling guns in Australia but "only to people who have a proper licence" but selling them outside of Bunnings instead of sausages to anybody. Like RWC's, and VASS's and EPA, this is enforcement of the actual existing rules. I haven't looked into it but there (should) be a way for people to legally pass their tuned car to be within the rules if they can prove they pass emissions laws that are applicable. If there's not then that's another story.
    • Interesting post(haven't watched the vid). I'm surprised companies can be fined for selling products that are specifically meant for certain applications.  How can you force a customer to use or apply your products in 100% the way intended? People have been misusing products since they were invented. Heck, I ate dessert last night with a soup spoon. Does that mean the spoon manufacturer could be fined? And what of the customers who actually want to use the product for its intended use?   I'm sure we could discuss and debate this for a while, but this is an introduction thread and I dont mean to take over it.
